WELL DONE
We look much smarter this week due to 99% of the school community making the small
effort to wear our uniform correctly. Visitors to the school, residents and staff have all
commented on what a difference wearing your blazer all the time, with shirts tucked in,
in correct footwear makes. The school looks and feels better already. A small number of
students have worm boots with trousers tucked in to them to school; to avoid any
confusion, boots with “bling” must not be worn. If boots are worn to school trousers must
not be tucked in to them. Likewise, boys should not tuck their trousers in to their socks,
unless they are riding home on their bike! Blazers should only be removed on teacher
instruction in classrooms and coats should not be worn in the building. A reminder of our
code…
School shoes with no logo on at all Or any trainers/bling boots that have
logos of any kind on them
Tie, Shirt and Blazer No scarves, t-shirts or hooded tops worn
inside school
NEW LASER CUTTING MACHINE
‘Over the last half term the product design club has been working really hard after school to
produce some quality products; ranging from Christmas Decorations and Key Rings to 3D
Photo frames. In recent weeks pupils have been learning how to use CAD software called 2D
Design, they have then sent this to our brand new Laser Cutter and watched their work get
manufactured. The outcomes are amazing! All pupils have been really pleased with their
work and the quality of the Laser Cutter the products they are producing are fantastic! The
group are beginning to think of other products they can make in a similar way!’
