Hi everyone! Today I have this beautiful crochet crop top pattern for you all to follow along. I
named it the “Sophia” after my daughter, beautiful and elegant.

To make this crochet crop top you will need a weight 4 cotton yarn and a 5mm crochet hook.

Notes:

Picot: ch 3, then slip stitch into the first ch you made.

The Cups:

Ch 11.

Sc into 2nd ch from hook and continue down the chain in sc until you reach last chain. Make
3 sc into last ch.

Turn your piece so you are working on the opposite side of the chain. Sc to the end. Turn.

Ch 1, sc until you reach the middle stitch of the 3 sc you made in the previous row. Mark this
stitch and place 3 sc into this stitch. Continue down the side of you piece making 1 sc into
each stitch.

Repeat the last row until the piece is big enough to cover your breast.

Cup edging:

With your yarn still attached , ch 1, sc into that first stitch, *ch 2, skip next stitch, sc into the
following stitch. Repeat from * all the way around the cup.

Next row:

Ch 1, **sc into the first ch2 space, picot, sc in same stitch as your picot. Repeat from ** into
every ch 2 space around.

For the neck strap make a chain of 300. Fold chain in half and weave through top of cup. Put
your cups to one side.

Main body:

Ch 86.

Sc into the 2nd ch from hook. Sc to end. Turn.

Ch 4 (counts as 1st dc and ch 1), skip next st, dc into the next, **ch 1, skip next st, dc into the
following. Repeat from ** to end.

Next row:

Ch 1, sc into every dc and ch 1 space. Make sure to put a sc into the last space and another
sc into the 3rd ch of your beginning ch4.

Next 2 rows: Ch 1, sc to end.

Next row: Ch 1, sc into same space, **ch 5, skip 3, sc into the fourth st. Repeat from ** to
end.

Next row: Ch 3, sc into first ch 5 space, 7dc into next ch 5 space, ***sc into the next ch 5
space, ch 2, sc into next ch 5 space, 7dc into next ch 5 space. Repeat from *** until you reach

last ch 5 space. In this space make a sc, then make a dc into the next sc from the previous
row.

Next row: Ch 1, sc into each of the next 2 sts. Then make a (dc, picot ) into each of the next
6dc. When you reach the 7th dc make a dc into this stitch. Do not make a ch 3 into this last
dc. *** Then sc into next sc, ch2, sc into next sc, then (dc, picot ) into each of the next 6dc.
When you reach the 7th dc just make a dc into this stitch. Do not make a ch 3 into this last
dc. Repeat from *** to end. Make a sc into last space. Cut yarn and weave in all the ends.
Attach yarn to one of the corners and make a chain of 300. Repeat on the other 3 corners.

Find the middle of the body part and place a marker in that spot. With all pieces wrong side
facing you sew a cup to one side of the marker and then sew the second cup to the other
side of the marker.

To make the tie on the front of the top all I did was make a chain of about 60 and weave it
through the “holes” of the cups and then attach tassels on each end of the chain.

And that’s it. You’re good to go! Below you will find the step by step video tutorial on how to

I made a lot of altering to this pattern such as using hdc instead of sc for the cups
also the size cups I made were DDD and used approximately 400yards of 100 %
acrylic yarn.

After some trial and error the multiplier on the band is multiples of 12 plus 2. I’m a 42
band size and started with a chain of 122

The main body is too long for me, what multiple # of stitches can I reduce the chain
length of 86 by?

PSA: if you need to adjust the main body section, take the # of bottom frills you want,
multiply by 12, and add 2 to get the # of chains you should do in the beginning! I did 62
chains to get 61 sc and 5 frills.

Is the band supposed to reach all the way around you? With the 86 chains, mine only

I think you add chains to the ends of the band and tie them together at the back. You
can kind of see them in the photos? Hope this helps

You can add in multiples of 12 to the original ch86, depending on the stretch of your
yarn, the original ch86 can fit and still show part of the design up to a band size of
38. I added ch12 and ended up with too much and an overlap on a 38” band size

Just follow the video (if you are size Small or MED. Even a size Large is fine) & add a
corset lacing at the back for a perfect fit every time You don’t have to sew the
back together. You will have to make your ‘own’ cup size too. I made this for my
friend who is a size XS-S, ‘A’-cup. It was almost too big for her. If I had used a hook
size bigger or thicker yarn it wouldn’t have fit her at all. I hope that this helped you
