tn Nozzle thickness
Design t Required vessel wall thickness due to pressure + corrosion allowance per UG-37
☞ As per clause 9.10.2 of project specification for General Pressure Vessel (26070-203-3PS-MV00-J0001)
for vessel designed to the ASME Code, Sec. VIII Div.1, the reinforcement area of nozzles over 2 inch
nominal diameter shall be equal to the corroded nozzle inside diameter to which it attached and
shall be within the limits specified in ASME VIII UG-40.
Large connections in which the diameter exceed the dimensional limits given in paragraph
ASME VIII UG-36(b)(1) shall be reinforced in accordance with the rules stated in the ASME Code,
Sec. VIII, Div. 1 paragraph 1-7.
