    AN EXECUTIVE ORDER ORGANIZING THE BARANGAY DEVELOPMENT COUNCIL, EXECUTIVE


    COMMITTEE, AND SECRETARIAT OF BARANGAY __________, OZAMIZ CITY, MISAMIS OCCIDENTAL.

    WHEREAS, the local government Code of 1991 confers upon to the Barangay Development
    Council as the primary planning unit in determining the over-all development in the barangay,
    WHEREAS, said law further outlines and defined the composition and function of the said
    council,
    WHEREAS, Sec. 111 (3) of the local government Code of 1991 confers upon to the
    Executive Committee to represent the Barangay Development Council and act in its behalf
    when it is not in session,
    WHEREAS, said law further outlines and defined the composition and function of the said
    Executive Committee and Secretariat,

    NOW, I, Punong Barangay __________ of Barangay __________, Ozamiz City by the


    power vested in me by the law do hereby order the following:

    A. ORGANIZATION, COMPOSITION AND FUNCTIONS- BARANGAY DEVELOPMENT

    • Mobilize people participation in local development efforts;
    • Prepare a barangay development plan base on legal requirements;
    • Monitor and evaluate the implementation of national or local programs and
    projects; and
    • Perform such other functions as may be provided by law or competent authority.

    > Ensure that the decisions of the Council are faithfully carried out and implemented;
    >Act on matters requiring immediate attention or action by the Council;
    > Formulate policies, plans, and programs based on the general principles laid down by the
    Council; and
    > Act on other matters that may be authorized by the Council.
