Mr. Kevin Silvestre

Senior Consultant, HR Talent Acquisition
Stanford University Medical Center

Dear Mr. Silvestre,

I am responding to the February 2021 New Graduate registered nurse residency program that was recently
published on linked in. I have just completed my preceptorship at Northwest Medical Center in Tucson, AZ
where I spent 180 hours on the telemetry unit assisting with patient care. Throughout this experience I was
able to gain valuable knowledge about various disease process, as well as skills such as therapeutic
communication, safe medication administration, and thorough patient assessments that I will be able to utilize
during my career as a registered nurse.

I am currently enrolled in the Bachelor of Science in Nursing program at the University of Arizona and will be
graduating in December of 2020. Throughout my time in nursing school, I have been able to provide holistic
patient care to various populations with both pharmacologic and non-pharmacologic modalities. I believe that
integrative nursing is essential in order to provide the best possible patient outcomes. Throughout my nursing
school clinicals I have been told by patients and preceptors that I have an excellent bedside manner. I am
highly motivated and willing to learn as much as possible to grow into the best nurse I can be.

Thank you for taking the time to look over my resume. I look forward to speaking with you in the near future
and discussing the potential of joining your new graduate cohort at Stanford University Medical Center. I will
be in touch with you within the next few weeks to discuss the status of my application. I may be reached at
(925) 899-7155.

Sincerely,

Lauren Hammond
