1. Describe rhythmic activities


Rhythmic activities are combinations of physical movements with sounds, beats, or
music. Rhythmic activities rely on an internal or external rhythm used for self-expression,
exercise, demonstration of physical ability, socialization, and expression of culture.
2. What is dance?
Dance, the movement of the body in a rhythmic way, usually to music and within a given
space, for the purpose of expressing an idea or emotion, releasing energy, or simply taking
delight in the movement itself.
3. Why do people dance?
People dance for all kinds of reasons - to mourn, to celebrate, to heal, to give thanks, to
preserve cultural heritage and treasured legends, to demonstrate physical prowess, to
assert individuality, to provoke and to entertain. Almost anyone can dance, regardless of
age or ability.
4. Do you agree that young Filipinos find it satisfying and fulfilling to be involved in dance?
Explain briefly.
Yes, as a universal form of self-expression, dance is a major part of the Philippine culture.
From the traditional movements attributed to various regional groups to the modern
repertoires inspired by the West, the Filipinos’ love for dance is deeply tied to the people’s
appreciation and recognition of rhythm and beats
5. How does modern technology affect the development of dance in our country at present?
The technology affects by having a modern dance songs and beat using an apparatus or
electronic devices that the dj's can used now a days.
The technology also affects the dance because of the internet. Our cultural dance fades
and slowly replaced by the foreign dance especially korean dances
