Historic Downtown
Zumbrota’s Historic Downtown is more than a
shopping hub selling unique and quality merchan-
dise. It’s home of Minnesota’s only authentic cov-
ered bridge, historic State Theatre, History Cen-
ter, former Carnegie Library (Crossings), First
Congregational United Church of Christ which is
on the National Register of Historic Places, “Heri-
tage of Promise” sculpture by Jeff Barber, Public
Library and former Zumbrota Armory (now an
apartment building). Professional services are down-
town, as well – legal, investment, media, insur-
ance, pharmacies, eye care, barber shops, cloth-
ing, art & craft galleries, beauty salons, restau-

Covered Bridge Park
On the north side of the Zumbro River is the
scenic and 64-acre Covered Bridge Park. It con-
tains nature and trails, MODERN CAMP SITES,
restrooms/shower, shelters, picnic areas, KIDS
KINGDOM PLAYGROUND, horseshoe, softball
fields, SWIMMING POOL, stream fishing,
FRISBEE GOLF, volleyball area, and ice rink.
Across Hwy. 58 in East Covered Bridge Park is
a modern SOFTBALL COMPLEX with shade
pavilion, concession stand, and bathrooms. There
is also a full outdoor basketball court and SKATE
BOARD PARK.

Enclosed Picnic Shelter


The Covered Bridge Park is home to an en-
closed picnic shelter. This is available to rent from
April through October. The rental cost is $75 (non-
refundable) with a required $100 deposit. Please
contact City Hall at 507-732-7318 to reservation
information.

Zumbrota’s Historic Downtown is more than a
shopping hub selling unique and quality merchan-
dise. It’s home of Minnesota’s only authentic cov-
ered bridge, historic State Theatre, History Cen-
ter, former Carnegie Library (Crossings), First
Congregational United Church of Christ which is
on the National Register of Historic Places, “Heri-
tage of Promise” sculpture by Jeff Barber, Public
Library and former Zumbrota Armory (now an
apartment building). Professional services are
