1.

How do the different stages of development affect a person’s ability to react

to situations?

The different stages of development is the change over time in a person’s

attitude, and ability to react on a situation. It shows that as human grows, their
behavior and perspective towards life also changes. They become mature on how they
handle a situation, and how can they regulate their emotions and reactions. In addition
to that, they become aware of their environment because they have the ability to
socialize or get along with others.

2. Describe briefly how self-actualization is attained during old age.

Self-actualization is the highest level of psychological development where the
"actualization" of full personal potential is achieved. It is the result of the experiences
happened to your life. It can be attained even at an old age, because it can be easier
for someone to appreciate life with the wisdom he/she gained with his or her
experience.

3. How can socialization create an emotional impact to a person’s self-

actualization?

Socialization is the process of incalculating behaviors, norms, stigma and

attitudes appropriate to that society in a social being. It affects us because we tend to
adopt the ideas, and concepts of other people. Social ideals often override our
personal ideals, even though it does not fit or not appropriate to us. Thus, it influence
can influence a person’s self-actualization because it may set us guidelines on how we
live our lives or reach our actual self or the purpose of our being.

4. Do you believe that when a person fails to manage a stage in his/her personal
development, self-actualization will not be reached as well? Justify your
answer.

I believe that every stage in a person’s life is important in reaching his or her
actual self. It is connected, and related to each of them. However, I also believe that
when you fail to manage a certain stage in your personal development, you can still
try to succeed. You have multiple changes to try in order for you to move forward to
the next stage. Thus, when you fail you must try your best to succeed on that specific
need, in order for you to reach the self-actualization. For example, in Maslow’s
Hierarchy of needs, you must reach the esteem needs to actually move forward to the
self-actualization. That’s why when you fail to have the self-esteem, you cannot
achieve your full potential.

5. How does a person’s motivation affect his/her over all behavioral

performance?

Motivation is a driving force that accounts for the way individual acts or
behaves in certain situations and overall in life. It affects the willingness of a person
to give his/her effort on something. In addition to that, it is a gateway to many
opportunities because it can lead us to fulfill our goals and to be succesful. Thus,
when a person recievedn a higher motivation, it can lead to an afficient behavior.
Whereas, absecense of motivation may lead to procrastination and negative effect on
his/her perspective in life.
