The 150 W catalyser is situated up on the ceiling of the baking muffle IMPORTANT
for (optimised air purification).
As the grease vapours require adequate oxygen for complete
incineration, air is drawn in by the cooling fan. Heat the cat. honeycomb for approx. 1 hour to eliminate any new
odours.
After an adequately long heating-up time, the smoke rises to the
upperside of the baking muffle, penetrates the grille and is heated on
contact with the heating element. The catalyser accelerates
incineration. From 350 °C the heated ceramic honeycomb results in
an optimum reaction which converts the smoke into an almost
odourless and colourless mixture. The cooling fan blows this mixture
through the ventilation grille under the door.
When the appliance has been switched OFF, the catalyser continues
heating for approx. another 45 min. The K 14 relay is re-actuated over
this time.

the motor moves to the end position. Therefore, before selecting the 300 °C cleaning aid, manually clean
the floor, ceiling, door and pane prior to catalysis. The grease filter as
well as the accessories must be taken out of the cooking
compartment.
If areas have burnt-in dirt, it is difficult to clean these. In this case only
a standard oven cleaner (e.g. K2R) will help, however the cleaner
must not come into contact with the anodised parts. Cleaner must be
wiped off immediately to prevent discoloration.

Cause of fault:
Up to FD 7712 the bottom heat heating element could slip backwards
and touch the rear panel of the appliance with the N-connection.
When the appliance has been switched OFF, the catalyser continues
heating for approx. 45 min. The K 14 relay is still actuated over this
time and supplies the BH with voltage due to the resulting earth fault.
An installed residual-current-operated circuit-breaker would trip.
Fault description:
Does not apply to US or CH versions.
Fault description:
Display is significantly darker than in normal mode even though the
mains voltage is in working order. Appliance does not heat up
Cause of fault:

Rectifying the fault:
Resolder sensor, if required replace display or cable.
