1. As a student, how can you contribute to the propagation of Filipino culture? Values? List
your own and explain briefly.

Start small things and this will fulfill the bigger things. Being a Filipino citizen is
part of my life the culture and values of Filipinos, this does not disappear from our being.
But things are changing, as I notice some Filipinos did not patronize and appreciate our
culture, especially this new generation. The first thing is you need to love to accept to
yourself that you are Filipino. We should do as Filipinos are to educate ourselves about
our history in order to understand how and why our country is in this present state. We’ve
learned so much from our country's history to help us appreciate and develop a love for
the Philippines. Because you can think of ways to help our country but it would all be
useless if there is no sense of nationalism. Our culture and values are one of our
trademarks as a Filipino, we all know as a hospitable country and ‘it’s more fun in the
Philippine’ line. For the reason that we have unique and awesome traits Filipinos.

2. True freedoom is dependenr upon truth, and based on John’s gospel “You will know the
truth , will set you free” What does it mean? Cite of this gospel.

True freedom is dependent upon the truth. A powerful reality yet something hard
on it. We have this habit, we already know the truth but yet we still with the lies and
make us miserable. Based on John’s Gospel “You will know the truth, and the truth will
set you free”. These words came from Jesus referring that the truth is him and know the
truth is to have complete faith in him. It’s like you confine yourself from the thoughts of
envy, hatred, insecurity, compare yourself to others, you always down yourself because
of your flaw. Well, everybody has flaws and every one of us has our strength, beauty, and
glow and always remember that all we need to do is know the truth we are unique in our
way without contending with others. And importantly accept and love what we are and
this makes us free. Freedom exists only in acceptance as part of responsibility and respect
for others is also part of freedom.

If there is no rule in our society, what would happen? Chaos and society would be
a dangerous place. The rule is very important this promoting physical, moral, social and
emotional safety. This is a useful tool in guiding and monitoring the interactions of
humans in society. Rules help in many aspects of life and this tends to protect the weaker
class in the society they might be in a disadvantaged position if rules are broken. In order
to make a peaceful and organize society, rules are designed to ensure fairness, safety and
respect for other’s rights. A society without a rule? I can’t imagine what society will be
like. Now we have a rule, a lot of rules in different aspects of life. But still, people who
have the power belittle those on the border. In my opinion, it is just an insignificant
percentage who get the right justice without involving money. What more if the society
without a rule.

4. What is ethics? What are the reason why we should study ethics?

Ethics or moral philosophy, the discipline concerned with what is morally good
and bad, right or wrong. Ethics also about the morality of particular courses of action, but
it’s also about the goodness of individuals and what it means to live a good life. Studying
this will be able a person to understand better what his/her conscience is, how he acquired
it, how far he/she is likely to be able to trust to its deliverances with safety and he/she can
improve it and make it more intelligent. We can learn to discriminate between the
respects in which all individuals are mutually interdependent and those in which each is
responsible for his own life and ought to insist upon freedom of initiative. Ethics is not
only about the morality of particular courses of action, but it’s also about the goodness of
individuals and what it means to live a good life. And the understanding of morals
problem will be widened and be attentive in his/her every action. Virtue ethics is
particularly concerned with the moral character of human beings. This is important in our
life as a whole when we noticed that countries or cultures were not acting with ethics.
That society cannot function without oral principles of what’s right and wrong. Ethics is
knowing the differences between what we have to do and what is right to do, by Potter
Stewart.

I simply say the rules of God that are restricted must be followed, this rule is
intended for all of us. And aside from that the rules and regulation of school, because no

also for yourself. A rule that is just intended for you to survive this roller coaster life.
That no matter how bad people treat you, never be a bad person to make a revenge. But
don't be stupid enough to let people abuse your kindness. Follow your heart but take your
