Custom Design Valves to Suit Your Application
Tyco Flow Control, manufacturer of the Rovalve, L&M Valve and Clarkson product lines, has
served the Custom Design valve needs of many diverse industries including power, pulp and
paper, mining, chemical/petrochem, waste treatment, steel, food, powder & bulk. We offer to you
unequaled experience in the design and manufacture of custom design valve products. We have
the fabricators, equipment and engineering capability, including state-of-the-art 3-D modeling and
Finite Elemental Analysis (FEA). This experience level, together with the most complete line of all
metal, elastomer lined and state-of-the-art polymer lined composite valve products, means Tyco
has more to offer you than any other manufacturer.

product suits the application.

Fabrication Equals Flexibility

Since we are not limited to the restrictive design parameters
inherent in cast products, we can design and build to your exact
specifications. With fabrication we start with a clean piece of
paper, or steel, and design and build whatever is required to meet
your application. Special materials, unique configurations, large
diameter, high pressure, high temperature, all are possible with
fabrication. How about a 24" square ported valve to match your
hopper? You want a 20" all Titanium knife gate? The specification
calls for a 96" diameter knife gate, where can you get one? No
problem, we can fabricate it. One of a kind, or a full production
run, we can build a custom valve to suit your service.
Unique Configurations
Special and unique configurations
The fabrication capabilities of Tyco means you can get the exact valve you need for
your application. Each custom valve is designed and manufactured to your specific
requirements. Replacement of O.E.M. valves is easy, we measure the exiting product and
build the new one to directly replace it.

Possible configurations include:

• Square port
• Rectangular port
• Tear drop
• Diamond port
• Round inlet-square outlet
• Reducing ports
• Multiple port "Y" or lateral
bodies

High Pressure
High pressure, high temperature
Tyco has designed and built valves
for temperatures up to 2000°F, as well
as pressures exceeding 1000 psi. The
design and manufacturing of these
critical valves takes into complete
account the relationship between
temperature and pressure. Tensile
strength of metal is degraded, the

higher the temperature, the lower Bonneted Knife Gate Valve
tensile strength. Because we fabricate,
we are not restricted and can make the
body, gate, flanges and other body
parts of sufficient thickness to assure
the valve is right for your application.

Special Materials
Special materials to choose from
Tyco has been designing and
fabricating knife gate, slide gate, wedge
gate and check valves from a variety
of special alloys for years. We have the
equipment and experience to handle your
next special material valve requirement
and take pride in saying we can build
a valve from any weldable alloy:

• Titanium • 310 SS
• Monel® • Hastelloy® C
• Hastelloy® G • 254SMO
• Aluminum • Alloy 20
• Ferralium® • Inconel®

All polymer or composite valves

With the L&M Valve line of products
you can get knife gate or slide gates

When you need a large diameter knife gate valve turn
to Tyco for high quality, cost effective, fabricated designs
with quick delivery. Sizes include 30" through 144", or
larger. We have the design and manufacturing experience
together with the facilities and equipment to build most
any size and type of large diameter valve. Available in
metal-to-metal, elastomer sleeves or resilient seats,
bonneted or bonnetless designs made from stainless steel,
carbon steel, or other materials with pressure ratings of
25 psi, 50 psi, 150 psi or higher, all designed to suit your
