    This poem shows you how to use the Present Simple.

    If you know the Present Simple If we use, he, she and it You can use a question word:
    Then your life is very simple! Add 'does not' to make it fit. Where do you keep your pet bird?
    “I wake up and go to school!” We drop -S from the main verb, Does it chirp or does it tweet?
    Routines, habits – that's the rule! Or the phrase will sound absurd! We use 'does' with he/she/it.

    We add –S to he/she/it, He does not work in a shop, Use short answers to respond,
    She cooks dinner, he eats meat. And she doesn't love a cop, Yes, she does, and no, we don't.
    The infinitive is used Do you understand this part? Do I make myself quite clear?
    With you, we, they – don't get confused! No? I'll make you write a chart! Then let's give ourselves a cheer!

    When a verb is used with 'NOT', Switch the subject and this 'do'
    We add 'do' to make the lot. To make questions sound quite true.
    You don't study every day, Use the verbs in their main forms,
    I don't do it, anyway. Do you like the thunderstorms?
