earth? the earth is considered to be our
home and it provides everything
that we need. I can be liken to our
mother who would do everything
for her children.

- Very good!
• Analysis

- In the previous activity, you have

mentioned that our nature is like a mother
to us, right?

- So, this time, I will let you watch a video

presentation and listen to the song. Prior
to that, let me ask you first with this
question, what is your perception about
the word “PARAISO”?
- Paraiso or Paradise is a place
- Anyone? where everything is free, beautiful,
and in good condition, Sir.

- Very good! Let’s find out if your

perception of the word “Paraiso” is
similar or opposite with the
perception of the speaker in the
song.

- As you watch the video, I want you

to think of the present situation of
our mother nature. But before
that, I want you to be guided by the
following questions:

1. What is the present condition of our

mother nature as mentioned in the
starting lines of the song?

2. How does the speaker in the song

describe the land he/she called “Paraiso”?

3. What value/s is/are reflected in the

song?
4. Who could be the one talking in the
song?

5. What is the stand of the speaker in the

song?

6. What is the song all about?

- (5-minute video presentation)

- Now, let us answer this question:

- What is the present condition of

our mother nature as mentioned in
the starting lines of the song?

- Who has an idea? - The river is polluted Sir.

- The trees and grasses are already
dying Sir because of the climate
- You have a point. Another one? change and pollution.
- The air is polluted and no birds are
able to survive Sir

- There are tons of garbage

materials scattered around Sir.

- Definitely, you are correct?

- How will you interpret these lines?

And if I Could have a single bird - The speaker wishes or wants for
some birds to appear in the sky
What a joy I try to write some words
and he is hoping to be like them.
And create a simple song He wants to fly as birds do and it
gives him encouragement to
To be heard by the rest of the world.
- Very good! dream. He hopes to still live with
dignity.

- How did the speaker in the song

describe the land he/she called
“Paraiso”?
- The speaker described the song
“Paraiso” as a place where there is
freedom. In there, garbage is their
riches and sources of everything
Sir.
- Very Good!

- Let me ask you now. What values

is reflected in these lines of the
song?

And if empty cans were all I have

What a joy I never fight

To take someone else’s coins

And live with joy fear

Like rest of the boys

- Optimism or having a positive

outlook in life Sir, for they are
- Ver good! Who else has another happy and they are contented with
idea? things that they have in life.

- You got the right idea. Any other - Having hope in the midst of
ideas? devastated world Sir.

- Having dignity Sir, for they need

not to fight to take someone else’s
richness in order to live.
- Who could be the one’s talking in
the song now?
- The ones who could be talking in
the song are the concerned citizens
who experience all the degrading
effects of human activities to the
environment and to the people Sir.

- What do you think is the stand of - The speaker in the song stands to
the speaker in this song? be steward of God’s creation and
who could be responsible with the
duties and responsibilities to our
land.

- What other ideas about the song - It is not too late for us to act now
could you share? in order to mitigate climate
change. Doing such is our concern
and can be a noble act.

- You’ve got an impressive idea!

- How did you feel after listening to

the song? - I feel sad because of the present
situation of our mother nature.
This song is an eye opener for us
that we should be responsible at
taking good care of our
environment because there is o
place like home. We should be
united as one in fixing what has
been broken or damaged and date
to restore our Mother earth.

- You have come to think well and

- Thank you, Sir.
good about the idea you just
presented!
- Indeed, taking care of our nature is
everybody’s concern considering
that our mother earth is our home.

today, what message can you

happened. Mother Earth has been
devastated by human activities
that, as stewards of God, we must
take a stand in taking course,
protecting and saving our mother
earth for us to restore its beauty
and sustainability and make it a
beautiful place to live in.
- In your everyday life, did you do
practices that affect our
environment like throwing plastics - Yes, Sir I realize that its not helpful
