Civil Works and Wellpad Construction
A. PURPOSE
Contractor shall provide Turnkey Civil Engineering Services. The term “Turnkey”
Services shall mean Contractor will provide all equipment, material and personnel as necessary
to complete the Services. Contractor is required to perform the construction of Company’s well
pad facilities in Tanjung Enim, South Sumatera, Indonesia. The Services shall be included but
not limited to:
1. Mobilisation all the heavy equipments, vehicles, and Contractor’s personnel to the
Location of The Services.
2. Construction of Tanjung Enim #04 and #09 well pad.
3. Provide the Deliverables that accepted and approved by Company as detailed in the
Section B - Scope of the Services.
4. Demobilisation all the heavy equipments, vehicles, and Contractor’s personnel from
Location of The Services.
1. Construction Steps for Tanjung Enim #04 and #09 Well Pad
Contractor will perform the construction works of Tanjung Enim #04 and 09 well pad
with the following steps as below. However, Company may, at its sole discretion, request
Contractor to amend or add the steps and/or the required materials of these repairing
and upgrading works.
a. Clearing: unsuitable material such as mud layer and vegetation shall be removed
by bulldozer.
b. Excavation/ backfill: only soil with optimum moisture content shall be used as
fill material. Fill material shall be placed and spread in uniform near-horizontal
layers that, prior to compaction, do not exceed 200 mm. Soil from excavation
process shall be used as fill materials.
c. Compacting: After each layer of fill has been placed, spread evenly and brought
to the proper content it shall be compacted to achieve proper strength. This
degree of compaction may generally be achieved by rolling each layer of
material, placed at the correct moisture content, with at least eight passed of a
roller. No fill material shall be placed, spread or compacted during or
immediately following unfavorable weather condition. A preliminary
assessment of the required moisture content can be made by rolling a sample of
the material between the hands. If it can be rolled to pencil thickness without
breaking, it should be satisfactory. Compaction shall be accomplished with
acceptable special-purpose compaction equipment.

d. Drainage construction: drainage will be made around the pad to ensure water
can flow properly.
e. Waste Pit construction: a waste pit will be made according to the specifications
given by Company.
f. Cellar construction: a cellar will be made according to the specifications given by
Company.
g. Grading: Top surface shall be covered with gravel thickness of 5 cm, followed by
crushed rock thickness of 5 cm, and further hardened by class B aggregate.
These layers shall be sloped to provide drainage, free of pockets or depressions.
This work shall include smooth drum roller compaction.
C. DELIVERABLES
Since the Services shall be performed with turnkey basis, thus it is mandatory for
Contractor to provide the Deliverables that accepted and approved by Company during the
performance of the Services. In the event that Contractor fails to provide the Deliverables,
Contractor will have three (3) chances to fix any deficiencies result during the failure of the
performance of the Services. Each Services have the Deliverables that shall be given by
Contractor as follow:
1. Deliverables for construction works of Tanjung Enim #04 and #09 well pad shall
be included but not limited to:
a. Well Pad has been leveled and covered with 5cm of gravel, 5 cm of crushed rock, and
5cm of class B aggregate and compacted.
b. A drain, with a 1:2 slope and 500 mm depth has been installed around the well pad. This
drain should be sloped, and contain enough empty points so as drains will clear.
c. A concrete cellar (dimension 3 x 3 x 3 m3) has been made at proper point as instructed
by Company (see Appendix A).
d. A waste pit has been made (dimension 10 x 6 x 2 m3) and fully covered by tarpaulins.
D. CONTRACTOR’S RESPONSIBILITY
Contractor has the responsibility to guarantee that all the Deliverables will be acceptable
and apporoved by Company during the performance of the Services included but not limited
to:
a. Contractor shall provide all required equipment, materials and personnel. The required
personnel will include, but not limited to, civil engineer, technicians and equipment
operators.
b. Contractor shall provide all pad hardening materials, including but not limited to, red
crushing stone, which is required for covering the surface of the Tanjung Enim #04 and
#09 well sites.
c. Contractor is responsible for the mobilization of all equipment, personnel and materials.

d. Contractor shall provide all required equipment, materials and personnel. The required
personnel will include, but not limited to, civil engineer, technicians and equipment
operators.
e. Contractor shall obtain all permits and access rights required to complete the Services
and mobilize its equipment. It Contractor responsibility to remove any temporary
obstructions while mobilization their equipment or completing the services.
f. Contractor will provide the fresh water required for completed the Services.
g. Contractor will provide the site security for their equipment.
h. Contractor should be provided a civil engineering program, cost tracking and daily
progress report to the Company’s representative.
i. Contractor’s civil engineer will attend a daily meeting in the Company’s field office, and
provide an update on the progress and discuss the possible movement or obstacle that
need to be solved by Contractor.
j. Contractor shall provide the guarantee of job quality that met with the Deliverables
accepted and approved by Company for two (2) months after the completion of the
Services.
k. Contractor shall be responsible for the transportation, accommodation, and meals of all
Contractor’s personnel, equipment, and materials that incurred during the performance
of the Services.
E. COMPANY’S RESPONSIBILITY
Company has the responsibility to support Contractor to perform the Services including but
not limited to:
a. Company will provide a borrow pits for the sourcing of the fill material.
b. Company will provide the required permit to enter the Location of The Services.
c. Company will perform the assessment to the Deliverables performed by Contractor
d. Company will provide the formal acceptance and approval when Contractor has
performed the Deliverables that acceptable by Company.
e. Company will provide the formal rejection and disapproval when Contractor has
performed the Deliverables that unacceptable by Company.
Location of The Services shall be in Tanjung Enim, South Sumatera, Indonesia including Tanjung
Enim #04 and #09 well site.
