Lighting of the MORE Button in the
Multifunction FlexiPad Control Block

Pressing the MORE button in the Multifunction FlexiPad control block


allows a region not assigned to a button to be selected with the memory
recall section.

In this version, if there is a region selected in the memory recall


section, this is indicated by the MORE button lighting green.

For details on the resizer, refer to Chapter 4 “Resizer” in Volume 1 of the


User’s Guide.

Menu Operations for Key Rotation

Note
Key images can be rotated either horizontally or vertically. They cannot be
rotated both horizontally and vertically at a time.
For example, to rotate key 1 of the M/E-1 bank, use the following procedure.

Resizer button <Rotation> group

1 In the M/E-1 >Key1 >Processed Key menu, press [Resizer], turning it on.

2 Press [Rotation Enable], turning it on.

3 In the <Rotation> group, press [X] or [Y] to select the direction of rotation.

4 Adjust the following parameters.

• When [X] is on

3 Perspective Adjust perspective 0.0000 to 1.0000

• When [Y] is on

Vertical movement range of a key in key rotation mode


When [Rotation Enable] is on, two parameters, Location Y and Size, are
restricted to the following ranges.

2 Location Y Move key vertically HD –9.0000 to +9.0000
SD 4:3 –3.0000 to +3.0000
SD 16:9 –2.2500 to +2.2500
3 Size Magnify or shrink key 0.0000 to 1.0000

Note
When [Rotation Enable] is on, the movement range of the key image center is
limited between just inside the top and bottom edges of the screen.

Functions not available in key rotation mode
When [Rotation Enable] is on, the aspect ratio parameters (Aspect X, Aspect
Y and Aspect Ratio) cannot be adjusted.
The defocus effect cannot be used, either.

1 Press the [RSZR CTRL] button, turning it on.

2 Press one of the [M/E1], [M/E2], [M/E3], and [P/P] delegation buttons, to
select the bank.

3 Press the [K1] or [K2] button to select the key to be rotated.

4 Press the [RSZR] button, turning it on.

5 Press the [RENB] button, turning it on.

6 Press the [ROT] button, turning it on.

7 Depending on the direction in which you want to rotate the key, press the
[X] or [Y] button.
To adjust the perspective, press the [Z] button.

8 Use the trackball or joystick for the operation.


Pressing the [X], [Y] and [Z] buttons to make them light green allows you
to enter values using the numeric keypad.
For details on parameters, see step 4 of “Menu Operations for Key Rotation”
(page SI-5).

1 Press the [KEY1] or [KEY2] button, turning it on.

2 Press the [RESIZR] button, turning it on.

3 Press the [ROT ENBL] button, turning it on.

4 Depending on the direction in which you want to rotate the key, press the
[ROT X] or [ROT Y] button, turning it on.

5 Use the knobs to adjust the parameters.


• When [ROT X] is on

• When [ROT Y] is on

Note
When [ROT ENBL] is on, the range in which you can move key images is
restricted. The defocus effect cannot be used.

An Additional Output Connector Available
for Simple P/P Software Operation

For details on the Simple P/P Software, refer to “Simple P/P Software” in
Chapter 10 of the User’s Guide (Volume 1).

The OUT24 connector is newly added to the available connectors for P/P
output when using the Simple P/P Software.

A New Detailed Setting Item for a Disk
Recorder (Video Disk Communications
Protocol)

For details on the settings for a disk recorder, refer to “Making Detailed
Settings on the External Device Connected to the Serial Port” in Chapter 22 of
the User’s Guide (Volume 3).

A New Response Speed Setting Item Added


The following item is newly added to the setting items in the DCU >Serial Port
Assign >DDR VDCP Setting menu.
8. Idle Delay: delay time from unloading a file until entering the idle state

The idle state is a state wherein a file has been unloaded but a new file
has not been loaded yet, that is, a state wherein no file is loaded.
