MELC: Comparing and Contrasting the Presentation of the Same Topic in Different Multimodal Texts

PROCEDURES
1. Review/Motivations (What’s In)
In this part of the module, the learner is given an opportunity to review a lesson learned from the
previous grade. Have the learner answer all of the activities on page 5. Instruct him/her to
carefully examine the sentences in Activity A in response to Activity B on the same page.
Note: Allow the learner to think freely and remember the lesson he/she learned in the past and
apply it in doing this activity.
8. Additional Activity
At this point, another set of activities are given to enrich the learner’s knowledge or skill of the
lesson learned. He/She is ask to use a Venn Diagram to compare and contrast the data about the
number of COVID19 cases particularly in Baliuag, Bulacan presented in each table on page 18,
Make a slogan that will persuade the townspeople to help lessen the COVID19 cases in Baliuag,
Bulacan on page 19, and Watch the speeches of the two former Presidents of the Republic of the
Philippines with the links provided. Then, compare and contrast the learning preferences used in
each of the speeches of Presidents Joseph Ejercito Estrada and Benigno Aquino III, as a
retention of the acquired skill.
Note: As the learner finishes the final task of the lesson, greet him/her with joy and pride. Give
him/her due praises in order to motivate him/her to do well again in the next module.
MODE OF DELIVERY
After accomplishing all the activities, the parent/guardian will personally return the module, the answer
sheets, and the output/s (if there is any) to the designated distribution/retrieval area in your barangay.
