OUR MANDATE The Department of Education was established through the Education Decree of 1863 as the Superior Commission of Primary Instruction under a Chairman. The Education agency underwent many reorganization efforts in the 20th century in order to better define its purpose vis a vis the changing administrations and charters. The present-day Department of Education was eventually mandated through Republic Act 9155, otherwise known as the Governance of Basic Education act of 2001 which establishes the mandate of this agency. The Department of Education (DepEd) formulates, implements, and coordinates policies, plans, programs and projects in the areas of formal and non-formal basic education. It supervises all elementary and secondary education institutions, including alternative learning systems, both public and private; and provides for the establishment and maintenance of a complete, adequate, and integrated system of basic education relevant to the goals of national development.

I. Introduction
Ang bansa ay patuloy sa pag-unlad at kasabay sa kanyang pag-
unlad ang pagyabong ng mga kabataang nagsisikap sa maiangat ang kultura at tradisyon ng mga kalinangang repleksyon sa bansa. Sa panahon ng pandemya ng COVID-19, ang pagtuturo ng asignaturang Filipino ay higit sa pagtuturo lamang ng kaalamang balarila o gramatika at pag-unawa sa akdang binasa. Hindi nagtatapos ang kaalaman sa pagbuo ng wasto at makabuluhang pangungusap at pagsagot sa mga kasanayan sa pagbasa. Ang FILIPINO bilang asignatura ay pagpapalalim ng ating wika at kultura. Sa paggamit ng wika, mahahasa ang kanilang kaalaman at kakayahan sa pagsasalita ng Filipino. Magiging matatag ang pundasyon ng mga salita na siyang magagamit sa pag-unawa sa maraming bagay tungkol sa ating mga Pilipino. Ito rin ang maaaring pag-ugatan ng damdaming pagkamakabayan at magsisilbing ningas ng pagmamahal sa ating bansa, sa ating pagka-Pilipino.

II. Highlights of the Accomplishment
Para sa taong panuruang 2020-2021, ang mga sumusunod na
gawain ay naisagawa ng Habay Elementary School.
Pagpapabasa ng mga Mag-aaral
Binigyan ng pagsubok ang mga mag-aaral sa pasalitang pagbasa, tahimik na pagbasa at pag-unawa upang malaman ng bawat mag-aaral ang kanilang kahinaan at kalakasan sa pagbasa at pag-unawa para mabigyan ng kaukulang lunas ang kanilang kahinaan.
Nagkaroon ng Panimulang Pagsusulit (Diagnostic Test)
Isinagawa ito upang ma-assess ng mga guro ang kaalaman ng mga mag-aaral para sa panuruang taong. Ang resulta ng panimulang pagsusulit ay gagamitin sa pagbuo ng mga nararapat na karagdagang aralin o remedial lessons para sa mga bata.
Masusing pagsasagawa ng interbensyon
Nagkaroon ng masusing pag-aaral at nagsagawa ng mga nararapat na interbensyon sa iba’t ibang kasanayang di lubusang natutunan sa bawat markahan para mapaunlad ang antas na pagkatutuo ng mga aralin sa bawat baitang.

Pagpapaunlad na Pangguro Ang mga guro ay nagkaroon ng interbensyon sa mga kasanayang di lubusang natutuhan sa bawat markahan. Nagkaroon din ng pagmamasid sa klase at pagbibigay rekomendasyon tungo sa ikabubuti ng pagtuturo. Lumahok din sa mga iba’t ibang webinar at iba pang kapulungan ang mga guro upang paunlarin ang kanilang kagalingan sa pagtuturo.
