General specifics:
Electronic board TE208 controls and protects diesel engines in their applications, in specific way it controls generating sets :
Electronic protection modul for diesel generating sets;.
Display to shows battery voltage (Vdc), hourcounter (H), generator voltage (Vac), current (A) and frequency (Hz);
Withdrawable terminals boards: - input and supply terminal board (7 poles);
- output terminal board (6 poles);
- generator current terminal board from CT, max. 5A (2 poles 5,08mm);
- generator voltage terminal board, max. 265V(2 poles 7,62mm).
Supply voltage: 9÷17Vdc (ver. 12V); 20÷30Vdc (ver. 24V).
Frequency: 5 ÷ 99Hz.
Display: 4 digit, 7 segment led.
Starting key with 3 steps (OFF, ON and START)
Display measurements:
- Battery voltage (Vdc);
- Hourcounter (H); Button to change the
- Generator voltage (Vac); measurements in the display.
- Current (A);
- Frequency (Hz).
L2-Fuel reserve alarm: delayed 8 seconds after the start. In case of alarm (if signal close to negative for more then 3 seconds)
generator stops, the alarm output is closed (to supply eventually a siren), and led L2 turns ON.
Turn the key to OFF position for at least 3 seconds to reset the alarms.
L3-High engine temperature alarm: delayed 8 seconds after the start. In case of alarm (if signal close to negative for more then 3
seconds) generator stops, the alarm output is closed (to supply eventually a siren), and led L3 turns ON.
Turn the key to OFF position for at least 3 seconds to reset the alarms.
L4-Low oil pressure alarm: is on also before and during the start. In case of alarm (if signal close to negative for more then 3
seconds) generator stops, the alarm output is closed (to supply eventually a siren), and led L4 turns ON.
Turn the key to OFF position for at least 3 seconds to reset the alarms.
L7-Emergency button alarm: in case of alarm (if signal close to negative for more then 0,2 seconds) generator stops, the alarm
output is closed (to supply eventually a siren), and led L7 turns ON.
Turn the key to OFF position for at least 3 seconds to reset the alarms.
L8-Over/under speed alarm: the boards measures the frequency to check the low and high speed of the engine. In case of alarm,
generator stops, the alarm output is closed (to supply eventually a siren), and led L8 turns ON.
Turn the key to OFF position for at least 3 seconds to reset the alarms.
The alarm is detected in accordance to the following data:
For 50Hz nominal setting
- Frequency less than 47Hz or more than 53Hz for at least 5sec.
- Frequency less than 46Hz or more than 54Hz for at least 2sec.
- Frequency less than 45Hz or more than 55Hz for at least 0,3sec.
For 60Hz nominal setting
- Frequency less than 57Hz or more than 63Hz for at least 5sec.
- Frequency less than 56Hz or more than 64Hz for at least 2sec.
- Frequency less than 55Hz or more than 65Hz for at least 0,3sec.
- Vdc: ..... battery voltage measure showed with two whole numbers and one decimal (ex: 12,5V);
- H:......... working hours measure (detected and counted when the board see the generator voltage) in thousands of hours (ex:
0034);
- Vac: ..... generator voltage measure showed with three whole numbers (ex: 230V). By setting, is possible to show the voltage
between phase and neutral like 230Vac for monophase generator on the display or, for triphase generators, the board can
converts the 230Vac between phase and neutral to 400V showed on the display.
- A:......... generator current measure showed with three whole numbers and one decimal (ex: 100,3A); the internal Current
Transformer ratio fixed is 80 (for 400/5A CT)
- F=Hz:... generator frequency measure showed with two whole numbers and one decimal (ex: 50,3Hz); by setting you can change
the nominal frequency to 50Hz or 60Hz
Uscite:
Start ............................................. NA - It close to positive during the start relè 15A max
Stop electrosolenoid (J1 close) ...... NA - It close to positive during the stop relè 15A max
Stop fuel electrovalve (J1 open) .... NC - It open from positive during the stop relè 15A max
Siren alarm................................... NA - It close to positive in case of alarm relè 5A max
Glow-plugs................................... NA - It close to positive before starting relè 5A max
D+ pre-excitation......................... 140mA - 12Vdc
Operating mode:
Key in OFF position.
All off and no battery consumption; only in this position is possible to remove the starting key. The board waits an eventual remote
start signal. With engine running, if you turn the key in OFF, the stopping procedure begins.
Stop procedure (the same also in case of alarms or after a remote start), is by de-excitation of fuel electrovalve if jumper J1 is open
(energize to run system) or is by excitation of electrosolenoid for 20 seconds if jumper J1 is closed (energize to stop system). To turn
off the board, remain for 3 seconds in OFF position (showed by a point on the display)
Contaore
When the board detects the generator voltage, it counts the working hours. The board shows the working hours with 4 numbers; by
this the board can shows maximum 9999 hours. To show higher values, the board use the point in the display: for sample, 10.00 on
dsiplay indicates 10.000 working hours. The value is stored also if you disconnect the board from the battery supply and is not
possible to reset it.
Voltage setting
By “Select Mis” button, scroll the measurements on the display up to reach the Vac voltage. Push and hold “Select Mis” button for
5 seconds: the display shows and flashing the actual setting (230 or 400). Push shortly “Select Mis” button to change the setting
from these two values; when the display shows the correct choice, push and hold “Select Mis” for 5 seconds to store the setting and
exit.
Frequency setting
By “Select Mis” button, scroll the measurements on the display up to reach the Frequency measure. Push and hold “Select Mis”
button for 5 seconds: the display shows and flashing the actual setting (50 or 60). Push shortly “Select Mis” button to change the
setting from these two values; when the display shows the correct choice, push and hold “Select Mis” for 5 seconds to store the
setting and exit.
