    The Railway Board of India's Ministry of Railways has revised the yardsticks for staffing levels in the Accounts department of the Indian Railways. The revised yardsticks increase the number of staff needed for originating earnings and earning accounts work if the division's originating earnings are over Rs. 50 crore. The number of staff needed for internal checking of balance sheets and station returns is now 100 staff for 100 stations, with 1 additional staff needed for every 4 additional stations. The number of staff needed for station inspections is now 1 Senior Timescale Accountant for every 10 stations. All other terms and conditions remain the same.
