Digital Liquid Oxygen Indicator/ Transmitter measures the variable
capacitance of LOX Converter using a unique “AC Excitation
Technology”. In this capacitance of LOX Converter is measured by
applying AC signal (of fixed amplitude and frequency) at one end of
capacitor and current flowing through the capacitor is measured at
other end. The change in current is directly proportional to change in
capacitance.

A glorious past, challenging present and promising future….
A BRIEF INTRODUCTION
Beginning as a Design Liaison Cell established in 1970 along with HAL -Lucknow to provide support to license
production, the department gradually entered into indigenization of large number units for Kiran-Mk1/2,
Ajeet, Marut and MiG Series of aircraft.
Functionally re-structured as ASERDC in 1997 towards self-reliance, the center had developed more than 400
LRUs, in addition to a number of other diversified products like ground support equipment, test rigs and
indigenisation of thousands of detail parts for various Aircraft Programmes. The Centre has also contributed
the space programme by developing LRUs for PSLV, GSLV and also for UAVs.
The Centre has core designers for various accessories systems supported by Assembly and Test Engineers and
other multifaceted Engineers for Support departments & technicians. FEM based stress & thermal analysis &
reliability analysis capability also exists. R&D Centre has its dedicated Procurement, Finance Cells, Prototype
Shop, Environmental Test facility and IT Department.
Development is undertaken from specification finalisation up to system integration in close co-ordination with
airworthiness agencies and the customer. Centre provides full hand-holding during series production batches.
Over 100 IPR have been filed by the Centre. 31 copy rights have been received.
