products, or items to be moved from point A to point B. First-party logistics provider refers to both the
sender and the recipient of the cargo. 1PL can be companies considered as self-logistics like
manufacturer, trader, importer/exporter, wholesaler, retailer, or distributor in the international commerce
field. E.g.:A family-owned company, Dawn understands the importance of nutrition and taste, and is
committed to providing the highest quality bread products to Pakistan. Meanwhile the Dawn company
delivers its products and services directly through their owned cargo system delivered to distributers,
dealers and retailers, moreover the Dawn company owns the all sorts of logistic for supply chain

4PL: 4th Party Logistics
Fourth-party logistics service providers developed in the mid-1990s as businesses dedicated to ensuring
that all segments of the supply chain are working toward the same, relevant supply chain goals and
objectives. A fourth-party supplier is a non-asset-owning organization that manages planning and
technology for a client's logistics system in collaboration with different resources, including 3PLs.

5PL. 5th Party Logistics

A logistics aggregator is another term for a fifth-party logistics service provider. They will pool the
requests of 3PLs and others to negotiate better pricing with various airlines and shipping providers. This
sort of logistics does not rely on resources. It usually works across all fields without a problem.
