Project Charter

Wilmont’s Pharmacy Drone Case

Authorization Date: 12/07/2020

Project Description DroneTech has the assignment to customize hardware, systems, interfaces,
and business processes to develop a prototype drone delivery system for use
at four Wilmont’s Pharmacy locations in San Francisco, CA. Which will provide
customers with the option to have their prescriptions and drugstore items
delivered to them through flying drones.
Project Purpose The purpose is to determine the feasibility of delivering products via flying
drone. The concept prototype will help to create a more efficient way for
people to receive their products.
Scope/boundaries During the pilot program DroneTech will provide 4 new custom drones for
Wilmont’s with corporate colors and logo. DroneTech will provide drone
piloting and product delivery. Online order processing and customer
willingness surveys will be handled jointly with Wilmont’s assisting in the
integration of IT Systems.
Drone delivery will not be permitted to customers in apartment buildings. The
system will contain a segment to allow Wilmont’s management to approve
the customers and send confirmation for this service.
The system should provide a means of communication electronically through
email online and mobile alerts as the customer requests.
There will need to be an Interface to the DroneTech Corporation for its order
entry, de- livery confirmation and mobile application software
Requirements
o Must use existing infrastructure.
o Only affects four local stores based out of San Francisco.
o Project must appear seamless to Wilmont Pharmacy customers.
o Ensure the security of Wilmont’s business information is not
compromised.
o The Budget should not exceed 1.75M
Deliverable/Objective Success Criteria
Service, Requirement and Cost Contract Signed contract between the

Assumptions and Assumptions:
constraints • DroneTech will be responsible for the Drones’ maintenance
and spare pieces.
• DroneTech will be responsible for system updates.
Constraints:
• Budget cannot exceed US$ 1,750,000.00
• To ensure that Wilmont’s security will not be compromised and no
breach for customer’s privacy and Wilmont’s drone project
information.

Authority Levels: Project Manager has full authority of schedule and labor allocation. Project Manager in
coordination with CEO of DroneTech and Operations Vp of Wilmont has the authority to make decision on design,
budget and customization of the project.

Project Approval Requirements: Project expenditures will be approved by DroneTech CEO


and the Project Sponsor.
