Project UMOJA is an Augmented Reality (AR) geo location gaming framework that encourages
outdoor social activity, health, exercise and exploration. https://araivr.systems/31361AH.pdf
The AR app will act as an interface for a prototype wearable nanomaterial accelerometer motion
capture system that will use graphene sensors to transmit the wearers motion to the app and across
5G, TCP/IP network protocols in real-time and use the STM32 family of widely available ARM chips.
Pulse trace, sensor resistance and the resistance ranges will be tested. Various power sources
including solar will be used and sensors will be tested in the kilo ohm to mega ohm range.

The prototype wearable will utilise and integrate the same sensors for recording the wearers
biological data such as heart rate, blood pressure and EEG data

next generation gaming.
The miniaturization process will be developed in partnership with world record micro sculpture artist
Dr Willard Wigan who exhibits at the BCAG art gallery where Aston Walker also exhibits his
computer game related artwork. https://www.willardwiganmbe.com/
We have x3 3D printed accelerometer packages based on a patent filed by Aston Walker and the
BCU team comprising of 6 students from the Computer Games Technology degree course and
alumni.

The gaming framework and prototype is the first phase towards mass producing a low cost wearable
real-time motion capture system that also captures the wearers biological data.
