    2021 First Quarter Virtual National Simultaneous
    Earthquake Drill
    ONLINE NATIONAL SIMULTANEOUS EARTHQUAKE DRILL:
    11 March 2021 @ 2PM

    Referenced to Republic Act 10121 0f 2010 also known as the Philippine Disaster
    Risk Reduction and Management Act , stipulates the deemed necessity in the preparedness
    for any possible occurrence of earthquake at the most unexpected moments. Online drill
    was simultaneously made last March 11, 2021 @ 2pm spearheaded by the NDRRMC and
    Civil Defense of the Philippines (CDP).

    The onset and duration of the Pandemic Covid-19 has shifted the paradigm in the
    compliance of quarterly National Simultaneous Earthquake Drill in educational institutions
    since there is no face to face set up. The first quarter drill was made again online the same
    as in the first onset of pandemic last year. This is the second time that the drill was made at
    home by the students, teachers , school heads and non-teaching personnel.. This time in
    the midst of Pandemic Covid-19 , students and other school personnel performed the drill at
    home with their families.

    Earthquake drills are easy to do. It only requires planning and constant practice. So
    at this date March 11, 2021, the online national management of the Office of the Civil
    Defense thru different downline agencies , Department of ,Education via Schools divisions,
    was made possible. Again , the activity aims to ensure compliance in holding the DUCK,
    COVER , HOLD concept inside the homes of every students together with their
    parents/guardians.

    Still upholding the task to comply to R.A 10121 of 2010 , this institution stilll adheres
    to its commitment to be part of the implementation in the DUCK, COVER , HOLD . Last
    March 11, 2021 at exactly 2pm , students ,parents , teachers , and children play their part in
    the duck cover and hold activity at home.

    The execution of Duck ,


    Cover, Hold of the ATEs and
    KUYAs (Senior) of PNHS.
    Group of families acting together in performing the COVER , DUCK , and
    HOLD is a good sign that they are ready and took their part to prevent and reduce
    disaster. The children, elderly , and other members of the family sought shelter and
    protect themselves under the tables desks, and chairs. With such an active
    participation, PNHS personnel , students, parents, and siblings show continuous
    development of resiliency within the community.

    School Disaster Risk Reduction Management Council (SDRRMC) through the


    diligent effort and coordination of its team coordinator Ramil S. Sanchez, once again
    the 2021st First Quarter National Simultaneous Earthquake Drill (NSED) has
    successfully implemented another very satisfactory activity.

    Based on the reports forwarded, there were no casualties reported during the
    conduct of home-based earthquake drill.
