The contents of this Circular Minute must be brought to the notice of all eligible employees on the
establishment of all Institutions. It must be ensured that all employees who meet the requirements
of the post/s are made aware of this circular minute even if they are absent from their normal
places of work.

REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor’s Degree in Finance or Accounting or Auditing as recognized by SAQA
3 years supervisory experience in Financial/ Supply Chain Management field
Valid Code 8 Drivers License
Provide Strategic Healthcare Technology planning and easement, Develop and prepare
strategic, annual performance and business plans for Health Technology, Prepare and develop
annual procurement plan for Health Technology, Ensure that the Budget is aligned to the
Departmental Strategic Plans and the Health Facilities Plans, Ensure the effective
management of budgetary and expenditure control for the procurement of Health Technology,
Develop a Medical Assets Management Framework which includes the complete assets
cycle(Planning, Maintenance and Disposal).
Manage medical equipment acquisition, development and audits. Design, develop and
implement financial strategies to ensure effective monitoring and monthly reporting of
expenditure on the acquisition of Medical equipment, Ensure the effective management of
Budgetary and expenditure in collaboration with Budget Control Office, Ensure compliance with
Risk Control management policies, Identify, monitor and implement mitigating controls for risks
with regard to the acquisition of Medical Equipment
Provide advice, guidance and input to policy. Consult with stakeholders and identify
shortcomings in policies and legislation, Assist with the preparations of comments, circulars,
policies and legislation to relevant forums.
Ensure the effective, efficient and economical management of allocated resources of the
Division. Manage the human resources, Manage the allocated assets, Provide training, advice
and guidance to staff, Manage PMDS, Manage potential risks and mitigation strategies.
