Topic: Easier Way to Apply Double Masking

Introduction/Attention Hello, and a pleasant morning to all of you investors. My name is Sarah Binti
getter: Zaihan and I am grateful to be given this opportunity to stand in front of you
(Attention) and share about my idea that would bring benefits to all of us.

I believe that we were shocked by the news of the discovery of the latest virus
which is known as coronavirus by the end of 2019. This virus covid-19 mode
transmission is likely to spread mostly through close contact, especially those
who are physically close to another, droplets, saliva, or discharge from the
nostrils when an infected person coughs or sneezes. To be clearer, when
virus-containing aerosols or droplets are breathed or come into direct contact
with the eyes, nose, or mouth, a person can get infected which makes the
government no choice but to make a Standard Operation Procedure (SOP)
compulsory for all to follow in order to flatten the curve. Wearing mask is one
of the SOPs that are taken seriously to prevent large droplets of bodily fluids
that may contain viruses or other germs from escaping the nose and mouth.
However, day by day, the number of positive cases is rising drastically
causing a “second wave” of increased cases. Have you ever asked yourself,
“what causes a spike in coronavirus cases?” “What will the future hold?” “How
are we going to get through this?” This virus is considered as the most
dangerous pandemic that has been spread wildly in our community and
double masking has been recommended to everyone for a safety closure.

Problem/ Issue: Now let’s get straight to the point. We already know that wearing a mask is
(Need) one of the alternatives to slow down the spread of Covid19 but how efficient
is your mask? Which mask should you wear during this crucial time? This
kind of question often plays in our mind, right? Especially when scientist or
researches have confirmed that the virus is now transmitted through airborne
and can further their distance than originally thought. In fact, you’ve probably
observed that when you breathe in and out, air escapes through the side of
your mask. This faulty seal can not only allow virus-infected respiratory
droplets to escape but also allow them to enter your one layered mask.
Madam, with this sharp increase in cases daily do you agree that double
masking is one of the considerations that needs to be prioritized? Right! But
are you willing to trouble yourself wearing thick layers of mask in a hot
weather with breathing difficulty? Would you consider spending lots of money
just to buy a disposable surgical and a cloth mask that won’t even last a
week? Exactly! Since some of us are required to go to work, buy groceries
and etc. everyone wants to do their best from getting infected but not
everyone can afford to buy different types of mask and apply correct ways of
double masking. I have to admit, that even I have difficulties to apply double
masking especially when wearing hijab. With the hot weather, it just makes
me feel uncomfortable to breathe as I please and it also squishes my nose
and leaves marks.

Proposal: This is the reason I want to propose to you my own prototype that will
(Satisfaction) overcome this entire problem, that will greatly benefit everyone and from the
moment it launches, we can assist you in turning your investment into profit. I
present to you a mask that applies a layer of surgical mask on the inside and
covered with coloured silk cloth mask that fits your type. Along with fragrance
that can make your breathing more comfortable. The shape of this mask is
the same as kf94 head look and there will be two version of this mask which
one mask can be tied at the back and one that can hook on your ears. This
mask is considered as applying double masking. WE CALL IT SUPER MASK!

Solution: As more contagious variants of the coronavirus are spreading throughout the
 (Satisfaction) world, it is more necessary than ever to invest in a high-quality mask. You
can consider SUPER MASK if you’re looking for a face mask that’s an
upgrade from cloth or normal surgical mask. Similar to the shape of kf94
mask, there is an adjustable nose bridge that can make sure to not squish
your nose or leaving marks. They also contain side flaps that curve to your
face, which helps fill the gaps around your face while also limiting unfiltered
air entrance. With two different choices, one of it can be tied up at the back,
which can be easier for woman who wears hijab to apply and another one
that can be hooked to your ear are for men and woman.

Justification for the Comparing to applying the normal surgical mask and a cloth mask on top, I

combination of surgical mask and cloth mask, the layers help to increase its
filtration power. The high-quality material in this mask filters respiratory

an affordable price range that can be afford by everyone including the youth
of B40.

According to the research from America’s Centre for Disease Control (CDC),
normal double masking method provides only up to 85.4% of protection
compared to 56.1% when only wearing surgical mask while a cloth mask
alone blocks 51.4% of protection.

Of course, I can’t help but disagree with the new norm and how it impacted
the way we live right now. However, it is unavoidable due to the outbreak and
the MCO. We just have to follow the safety measures to flatten the curve, and
since wearing a mask is compulsory in this country, the solution to this
problem has been reassured.

Conclusion/ Reinforce In conjunction of the MCO, we can clearly see that most of the companies
the proposal: that provides face mask are taking advantage of the current pandemic
(Action) situation to sell face mask in a higher price range but with a very low filtration
quality. Why do you think so? Because they seek that opportunity to increase
their revenue as people have no choice but to buy. I am sure you can see
how my prototype has the potential to help people not only avoid becoming
infected with the virus, but also with their finances. I’ve already taken the first
step by pitching my proposal to you this evening. Now, the decision is in your
hands. Take up the role of the hero. Thank you very much.
