RECAP
Most of the texts we read are linear texts, just like poems, stories,
letters, novels, educational texts and many more. On the other hand, non-
linear text does not follow a begin time and end time system. Readers can
start anywhere they wish. Some of the stories are told out of sequence and in
structure. Examples of these are flow charts, graphs, tables, illustrations.

LESSON

Arrange the jumbled letters to form a word.

Synonyms: interpreting, converting

S N A R T G N I D O C

The answer is TRANSCODING. It is synonymous to interpreting and

converting.
Transcoding is converting language or information from one form of
coded representation to another. (https://www.lexico.com/en/definition/transcode)

diagrams, tables, charts and graphs as it contains coded information. As we
transcode we present the information in our own words.

indicate the topic of the graphics or type of information presented. Then,
read all the labels on the visual. The labels will tell you what each line, mark
or section on the graphic represents. Aside from that, read any other text
that has been written around the graphic. Analyze carefully all the data so
you can have a precise interpretation.
