A Beginners Guide To Ultra Plays

A Beginners Guide To Ultra Plays
First of all, I want to start off by saying that I can’t thank Ultra enough. One of the best
traders out there. Appreciate everything you do for us, keep killing it!
This guide is directed to anyone that wants to jump in on plays that Ultra calls out, but
struggles to do so. So if you already know how to consistently play Ultra’s calls, then get
out of here! Jk you can stay if you want :) The following information will be based
around the strategy I personally use to enter these types of trades.
It’s important to understand why Ultra’s calls rip so hard when he first mentions them, I
mean, the guy has a huge following! If he calls something out a lot of people will
obviously jump into the train, bringing lots of volume into a ticker. This makes the ticker
pop out on scanners, which will ultimately bring even more volume into the stock… Oh,
and shorts have to cover too ;)
When Ultra tweets something about a ticker he entered, more likely than not he will put
a potential price that the stock could reach (Price Targets), you should NOT expect the
stock to reach that price 100% of the time, it’s called a TARGET for a reason, you don’t
always hit them.
I want this guide to help the people that jump into the stock blindly expecting huge
returns without any sort of plan/strategy. I’ve seen way to many people complain on
twitter/discord about a stock not reaching its price target, even after they run
50%-100%+++
Ultra’s calls will make you money (a lot of money) if you play them correctly (Just like
@Willy Meatsauce said)
I’m going to share the strategy I use to take advantage of the plays Ultra calls out on his
twitter/discord, which has been very consistent since I first started using them.
#1- How I get in early on Ultra plays (at least most of the times):
In my trading setup, I have a space dedicated specifically to Ultra. This space includes
his twitter feed and his discord room, both have notifications on. (This space is literally
right next to my ticker search bar)
The easiest way to get in early on a play Ultra calls out is to literally be the quickest to
react to his alerts. My setup alerts me instantly when Ultra tweets something, and I get a
huge pop-up on my screen. This helps me search for the ticker in seconds, being in the
early move to the upside of the stock.
Before slapping the ask blindly, I look for a couple of things before entering a position
(You must know how to read the tape in order to do these things correctly):
*All of these steps literally take me less than 10 seconds to do, it’s all about practice,
you’ll know when to slap the ask and when you should step back and wait for a better
place to add.*
If everything lines up, I’m comfortable with slapping a decent size, the upside on Ultra’s
plays are usually amazing.
Please never FOMO into a trade, that’s the easiest way to burn an account. If it runs
without you, who cares! There are thousands of opportunities each day in the market.
Ok, on to the next possible scenario:
Let's say you miss the first move to the upside, and the stock either already had it’s
initial parabolic move or it gets halted up. How do you enter a play now?
The strategies I do in these situations can vary, I’m going to explain the scenario in
which a stock gets halted up:
In the case that a stock gets halted up, Ultra will most certainly tweet about it, getting
more buyers interested into the play.
Please, don’t instantly buy after it unhalts, wait for dips, believe me they will come.
People that were in the initial move to the upside will start to take profits, making the
stock dip.
I love to buy VWAP dips when a stock unhalts, especially on Ultra’s calls since they
almost always get continuation. (Other great traders like Tommy and Gary,
#GoblingGang, use the same setup after halts to the upside.)
Why I love buying VWAP dips after halts (In Ultra plays only!):
#1 It provides a great r/r setup, I usually just leave a bit of wiggle room under VWAP to
let the ticker do its thing.
#2 It’s an area where a lot of traders tend to use as support, therefore you know bids
will be stacked up around this area.
#3 It will force you to buy red candles (dips). We buy the dips and sell the rips, it’s how
we bank!
(Use level 2 to see if buyers are present around this zone, if they are getting taken out
please cut the trade, it’s better to take a small hit than to baghold a stock. You can
always re-enter a position later on.)
- Go back to almost every Ultra play, look at how they acted around VWAP after
the first unhalt, even YVR today was a perfect example (date: July 15th 2021)
$YVR VWAP dip after unhalt:
Another thing I love to do while I’m waiting for the stock to get unhalted is to go over the
daily chart, and look for possible support/resistance zones, breakout areas, etc…
You can use EMA’s, SMA’s, Chart Patterns, and a bunch of other technical analysis to
find specific zones that will act as demand/supply levels. Providing you with a high
probability trading setup!
Lastly, DON’T BE GREEDY! No one has gone broke by taking profits, no shame in profit
taking.
If you see the ticker having problems to reach your price target, scale some of your
position out, that way if the trade goes south at least you secured some profits. You
don’t always have to wait for price targets to hit, adapt to the movement of the stock. If
you see sellers are being aggressive and buying pressure isn’t enough to get through
them, scale out some shares, you won’t regret it.

Manage your risk, don’t expect these setups to work all the time, although most of the
time they do work ;)
Oh, one last thing, unless you are super confident in a setup and have great risk to
reward, don’t go with your full size on the first adds. Scale in/out of the position, don’t go
all in at once unless you are really experienced.
These tickers go down as fast (or faster) than what they take to go up, play smart!
Now take all of this information, mix it with your style, see if it works, and take
advantage of Ultra’s calls! After all, he is a great trader, one of the best to ever do it!
Btw, sorry if I misspelled some things, english is not my main language. And if anyone
wants to add any information/strategies to this PDF make sure to message me, I’ll add
them.
Keep in mind these are the strategies I use to play Ultra’s calls, make your own plan!
