Science aims to understand the natural world through empirical evidence and experimentation, while spirituality seeks to understand deeper spiritual truths and the causes behind scientific facts. The two disciplines are complementary rather than oppositional, as they both seek to understand the hidden laws of nature and higher power that created everything. While science seeks to eliminate human suffering through discoveries, this could have both advantages and disadvantages by potentially removing aspects of human experience and emotion that define our humanity. Overall, both science and spirituality reflect human curiosity to understand our world and purpose.

Science and spirituality
Science let us understand everything around us through scientific method and
experiments. In this discipline we discover things that cannot be seen through naked eyes. We are what we are now because of explanation given to us by science. But is it only science can give us the satisfactory answers to everything? For me, maybe there are other discipline that has their own explanation to something science can’t. Just like our knowledge about our spirit, science still studying this phenomenon. we come across the spiritual topics through religious sec. so, what is spirituality? Is spirituality opposite to science discipline? When I was just begging in college, I once red an article saying that science and spirituality is like the two side of a coin and that the aim of science is to uncover the deepest spiritual truths, and the aim of the spirituality is to search for the cause behind scientific facts. People who have chosen science as their field are not much different from people who spend time engaging in the spiritual search. They are both seeking the answers to the same question, but in different ways. These people are both finding the hidden law of nature, the higher power created everything and they use their discoveries to better the lives of other people. I just want to emphasized what he said that the most important thing science could be studying is to give an end to all psychological suffering of all people. This for me has advantage and also disadvantage to humans. I say, this is an advantageous in human race because if science can discover a way for us to not feel pain or any psychological trauma, then, people can function more and better than before. But this discovery can be a little scary because this can say that there is really no limitation to what humans can do. For me, our flaws, pain and other negative aspects are part of us. The past experiences and emotions are one of our trait as humans. We are not humans if we do not care, we do not feel or even if we do not have empathy or sympathy to other individuals and things around us. We can say that that discovery can move us to a higher way of thinking, if we reach that certain enlightenment through science what will we going to do next? What will we question next? Through this TedEx talk I realize how selfish humans are and why do people still trying to understand the natural laws and the higher power that created everything. Even though people are naturally selfish for me, there will always times that we go out of our way and be selfless just to help the people we treasured and love. This way of thinking is one of the reason why we are called humans. We may not give a justifiable answers or result to others by what we are doing but if it is the thing that will give you a peace of mind you will still do it because it’s what yourself wanted to do.
