    CLASSIFICATION OF PLANTS

    There are huge varieties of plants. To


    make it easier to study them, they are
    classified as follows:
    1. FLOWERING AND NON-FLOWERING
    2. LAND AND WATER PLANTS
    3. POISONOUS AND NON-POISONOUS
    A. FLOWERING AND NON-
    FLOWERING
     Flowering plants are plants that produce flowers.
    EXAMPLES

    SUNFLOWER JASMINE ORCHIDS


    ROSE HIBISCUS IXORA

    TULIPS DAISIES CACTUS


     NON-FLOWERING PLANTS – plants that
    do not produce flowers, instead they
    produce CONES and SPORES.

     Floating plants: these plants float on the surface of

     Partly submerged plants: plants with flowers and
    leaves grow above the water, the stem and roots
    mostly below the water.

     Fully submerged plants: plants that grow completely
    under water.
