CLASSIFICATION OF PLANTS

There are huge varieties of plants. To


make it easier to study them, they are
classified as follows:
1. FLOWERING AND NON-FLOWERING
2. LAND AND WATER PLANTS
3. POISONOUS AND NON-POISONOUS
A. FLOWERING AND NON-
FLOWERING
 Flowering plants are plants that produce flowers.
EXAMPLES

 NON-FLOWERING PLANTS – plants that
do not produce flowers, instead they
produce CONES and SPORES.

B. Water plants or aquatic plants
Kinds of Water/Aquatic plants
 Floating plants: these plants float on the surface of

leaves grow above the water, the stem and roots
mostly below the water.
