APPLIES TO:

Oracle Incentive Compensation Analytics for Oracle Data Integrator - Version 12.1.3 to 12.2 [Release 12.1 to 12.2]
Information in this document applies to any platform.
Oracle Incentive Compensation Analytics for Oracle Data Integrator - Version 12.2.6/7 [ EBS Release 12.1 to 12.2]
Information in this document applies to any platform.
Prerequisite,
1. Prerequisite (Source EBS instance) -
a. Minimum Baseline Oracle EBS Release 12.1 [ Compatible with Release 12.2 and up] .
b. EBS Release R12.1 Customers - Install the patch 16240904:R12.CN.B OR its replacement patch OR the superseded patch.

=========================================
R12.1 / R12.2 Oracle Incentive Compensation Analytics for ODI
=========================================
What are the contents of the Oracle Incentive Compensation Analytics for ODI - 12c ( ODI 12.2.1 and OBIEE 12.2.1 ) patch?
The patch contains metadata 12c ODI and OBIEE artifact files for Oracle Incentive Compensation Analytics for ODI.

Who should apply this patch?

All existing customers of Oracle Incentive Compensation who are on Release 12.1.X or 12.2.X and want to implement OIC Analytics solutions

Recommendations:
============

(a) Please follow the Oracle suggestions for configuring the Database for Data Warehouse Applications, this involves appropriate settings for
blocksize, pga size, sga size and parallel max servers - for more details please refer to Oracle Data Warehousing Guide (part number
E10578-04) - Chapter 2 : Setting up your data warehouse system.

(b) For improving the incremental ELT data load, Customers at Release R12.1.3 should apply patch (11800444:R12.CN.B) on the source
Oracle EBS system - this patch reduces the volume of data considered for incremental loading.

NOTE:
====

1. It is recommended that the OIC Analytics Data mart instance is different from the EBS instance. The OIC Analytics Data mart objects can
be created by using the script OIC_Analytics_DDL.sql (this script is bundled with cnodi_import_util.zip)

2. Please ensure the mentioned privileges are granted to the target datamart schema/user before the concurrent program "Incentive
Compensation Analytics - ODI" or the ELT is kicked off. The required privileges are for example, connect, resource, create view, create
database link, create synonym, create job, execute on dbms_lock, select any dictionary.

3. We recommend to create a fresh/new ODI repository to import the ODI scenarios that are bundled in cnodi_import_util_12c.zip

($CN_TOP/patch/115/odi/US/util ).

4. Before ELT is executed to transform source data into OIC Analytics datamart, please ensure the CURRENT PERIOD is OPEN in the source
database for successful ELT run.

GOAL

Creating a Repository to deploy or configure Oracle Incentive Compensation Analytics 12c artifacts under Oracle Data Integrator (ODI) and
Oracle Business Intelligence Enterprise Edition (OBIEE).

SOLUTION

Deploy and Configure the OIC Analytics 12c artifacts

Deploy and Configure the OIC Analytics 12c Artifacts

Release R12.2 customers: The ODI artifacts and OBIEE repository files are installed at the E-Business Application top, under $CN_TOP/patch
/115/odi and $CN_TOP/patch/115/obiee respectively. The artifacts must be deployed where Fusion Middleware (ODI 12.2.1 and OBIEE
12.2.1) is hosted.

Deploying and Configuring OIC Analytics 12c Artifacts

To deploy and configure the OIC Analytics 12c artifacts:

1. Execute the following scripts on the OIC Analytics Datamart instance:

OIC_Analytics_DDL.sql
cnanasrcsyss.sql
cnanasrcsysb.sql

Note: The scripts are bundled and available under PatchDownloadLocation or FilesCopiedLocation /patch/115/odi/US/util
/cnodi_import_util_12c.zip.

2. On the EBS source instance, execute the script OIC_QUOTA_RESTAGING_DDL.sql.

Note: The script is bundled and available under $CN_TOP/patch/115/odi/US/util/cnodi_import_util_12c.zip.

3. If the source schema of the EBS instance is not APPS schema, then ensure the synonyms for the following objects are created on the
custom schema as well as the required access privileges to read the data are granted:

CN_CAL_PER_INT_TYPES_ALL

4. Follow the ODI and OBIEE artifact import steps:
Pre-requisite for R12.1.3 / R12.2.x Oracle Incentive Compensation Analytics for ODI (12c):
1. Install Oracle Data Integrator (ODI) version 12.2.1.2 or higher
2. Install Oracle Business Intelligence Enterprise Edition (OBIEE) version 12.2.1.2 or higher
5. Follow the documentation bundled with the respective technologies that are installed.

II. Setting Up Oracle Incentive Compensation Analytics for ODI

The Oracle Incentive Compensation Analytics for ODI metadata components include:

ODI Artifacts
OBIEE metadata repository are bundled in the Release 12.2.6/7 patch

To import the metadata and repository objects into their respective technology stack:

1. Create a dblink (e.g., ORACLE_APPS) on the target (Datamart) instance or schema with the connect string details of the source EBS
instance or schema.
2. Create database link: db_link_name.
3. Connect to Apps identified by AppsPassword using '(DESCRIPTION=(ADDRESS=(PROTOCOL=tcp)(HOST= HostName)(PORT=
PortNo))(CONNECT_DATA=(SID= DBName)))';

III. Oracle Data Integrator (ODI) Setup (ODI Studio)

To create the Master and Work Repository:

Setup ODI Topology:

1. Navigate to the Logical Architecture tab (within the Logical Architecture Tab - Oracle Technology):
Create/define logical schema "ORACLE_APPS" for Source schema (eg APPS)
Create/define logical schema "ORACLE_CN" for target datamart schema (eg CN)

2. Navigate to the Context tab and create "CN_CONTEXT".

3. Navigate to the Physical Architecture tab and define the source schema (e.g., APPS) and the target schema (e.g., CN) Data
Servers.
Define Data Server EBS_INST1 for the source schema:
1. For the Instance / dblink (Data Server), enter db_link_name.
Note: The default schema associated with this data server is the source schema (e.g., APPS).
2. On the Context tab, associate CN_CONTEXT with logical schema ORACLE_APPS.
Define the Data Server ORACLE_CN_OLAP for the target schema (e.g., CN):

Under the Context tab; associate CN_CONTEXT with logical schema ORACLE_CN

Note: The Instance / dblink (Data Server) name is the TWO_TASK name.

Note: The default schema associated with this data server is the target schema (e.g., CN).
