    Holiday is the time that we all eagerly wait for.We all make plans to enjoy ,to relax
    and to empower ourselves during these gala days.This summer vacation the
    Holiday Homework so designed by the mentors of the school is a medium for
    you all to achieve the motto of “Fun and Learn” .The activity -based assignments
    will foster curiosity ,develop creativity ,enhance knowledge ,and instil the joy of
    learning among you all.They will certainly help you discover a new you, who is
    more enriched as well as confident and performs every action to perfection. At
    Amity ,equal focus is laid on a academics along with co-scholastic competencies.
    Use your energy and give a vent to your creativity. It will surely enhance your
    learning process. Relax, enjoy, have lots of fun and come back refreshed.
    Each child will get an opportunity to share their work and creativity with their
    classmates.

    1. SUPPORT YOUR LEARNING THROUGH LMS


    Refer to already completed lessons and attempt Interactive activities, quiz and
    worksheets from LMS (Moddle) to practice concepts at your own pace. LMS is a
    self- learning platform.
    2. COMMUNITY BASED RESEARCH PROJECT
    • You have already been briefed about the Community based research. We
    are sure that you are at a point where your group has
    identified the social issue that intrigues you most.
    Please do some background research on the topic
    selected, list down the objectives and formulate the
    research question. You may complete these in the
    Google slides Presentation for your Science teacher to review the same.
    • During the summer vacations you may review the Research
    Methodologies. You may refer to the Research Methodology (Class 5) at
    LMS - Moodle or the pdf uploaded on Teams. Among all the ones discussed
    by your SST teacher, focus on either the Survey method or the Interview
    method and select any one of them for your data collection. Let it be a
    group decision.
    • Select your Sample size and Age group and form the questions that you
    would like to ask. Upload your Survey form / Interview form on the PPT by
    20.05.2022.
    • Once your teacher reviews it, you can start your data collection.
    • Important ...Hope you all have seen the template of the research ppt on
    Teams. Be as creative as you wish to be. Use the headings (refer to the
    template of the research ppt) to start your Google presentations.
    • Remember to share the link of your presentation with your class teacher. (
    Any one member may share the link with the class teacher)
    3. MATH
    For a secure foundation of concepts please ensure you do 2-4
    questions everyday on Four Operations in a practise
    notebook. These questions can be taken from your GWN or
    any reference book. Ensure you make a practise copy and
    cover it with a newspaper and label it too. Please mention the

    4. 21st CENTURY SKILL DEVELOPMENT ACTIVITIES

    Imagination & Creativity (individual)

    Create an imaginary character using shapes, build a story around


    your character highlighting any social or environmental concern
    that appeals to you. Identify and list SDGs considered.
    You can either draw your character on paper/ digitally draw &
    create a photo story using digital tools. You need to upload this
    work under Holiday Homework English folder (on Ms Team Class Notebook)
    OR
    Create a flip book to narrate a story around your imaginary character with
    animation effects.

    To nurture reading and comprehension skills, students will read
    any two-story books of their choice in English and Hindi
    respectively and prepare a “Book Talk” for one Hindi & one
    English book they read.
    Book talk is an interesting way of presenting your learnings from
    a book you read keeping some things undisclosed, so that you motivate your
    classmates to read the book.
    Book talks can be recorded as a video / written in an A4 Sheet.
