1.0 SCOPE DESCCRIPTION

The specification covers the general requirements and the specific technical
requirements for the Pre-engineered building works (PEB), which are not covered by
any of the other component specifications but are required to be carried out for the
satisfactory completion of the work. It shall be noted that all Codes of Practice and
Standards shall be those of latest issue.

1.1 Following are covered in the scope of PEB work:

1) For validation of steel column support design at level 5, PEB CONTRACTOR shall
provide all the structural design data to CONSULTANT along with the drawings
of anchor bolt location in foundations. PEB Contractor shall supply anchor
bolts/ foundation bolts well in advance of schedule for casting of foundations.

2) The PEB CONTRACTOR shall design the building as per the technical
requirements mentioned in this document & GA drawing. PEB Contractor shall
furnish design calculations & drawings for Consultant's/Client's approval.
Fabrication & erection will be started only after getting approval on design &
drawings from the Consultant/Client.

3) The PEB CONTRACTOR shall be fully responsible for entire structural design,
strength and stability, complete fabrication, transportation to site and safe
storage, handling & erection of the building at site within the estimated time
frame. Any approval from Consultant or OWNER will not relieve the
CONTRACTOR from the responsibilities for correctness of his designs and
drawings.

4) The PEB CONTRACTOR shall issue stability certificate and provide performance
guarantee of all the structured, designed, fabricated & erected by them, for
endorsement of the same by consultant.

5) The PEB Contractor shall provide the warranty for the PEB Superstructure
(structural components) for a minimum period of 15 years against any distress
caused due to inadequate design and faulty erection. The CONTRACTOR shall
provide warranty for a period of 15 years, that there will be no reduction in
cross-sectional thicknesses of structural members due to potential corrosion.
