Minor Project Guidelines
Objectives:
The student will have the opportunity to explore the current management literature so as to develop an
individual style and sharpen his skills in the area of leadership communication, decision making, motivation
and conflict management.
Minor projects are tasks that add to the knowledge of the students. A topic shall be given to each student in
the beginning of the semester in various areas of management.

Simplified approach to Report writing- Gupta and Gupta, Wisdom Publications, 2005.
Reference Book:Case Studies in Management- Dr.S.L.Gupta, Dr.Sunil Gupta and Anurag Mittal,Wisdom
Publications, 2004.
All the students will submit their Minor Project Reports (2 copies) by specified date to the supervisor
in the organization under whose guidance students will prepare their projects. Each student will be
attached with one internal project guide, with whom they shall be in continuous touch during the
project work. The internal project guide will be required to evaluate (out of 40 marks) on the basis of
the assessment report provided by the organization where the Minor Project Report has been
completed and his/her own assessment about the work done by the student. The evaluation of the
remaining 60 marks shall be made by external examiner appointed by the University who shall
evaluate on the basis of presentation and the assessment report received from the organization where
student has undergone the Minor Project.
a. All students are required to discuss their project with the respective mentors and the title of
the project is to be finalized.
b. The students are required to work under the active guidance of their respective mentors the
should meet the mentor atleast once in a week to discuss the progress.

Note: The project should be spiral binded.
c. Typing Instructions:
The length of the Project Report may be about 30-40 typed pages on A4 size Bond paper.
The text should be prepared with 1.5 line spacing and 12 point Times New Roman font
with a Margin of 1.25” on left side.
Margin of 1” on the remaining three other sides.
d. Each minor project report should adequately explain the research methodology adopted.
e. The material in the report wherever picked up from any source, the name of the source is
mandatory to be referred in the required format.

If the student uses any tables, graphs, figures, text or any other materials from other
sources, make sure to provide full citations of the source.
All tables and graphs, figures must be numbered and should be referred to as such in the
main body of the text.

(Note: Author (S) eg. If Author name is Stephen Robbins, then it will be
written as Robbins Stephen.)

i. Name of the site, Article Name, Name of the Author, date of the site visited
Note: All the students are required to follow the above stated guidelines and are required to
write the project report in their own language. Attaching download information/materials in
the content is strictly prohibited.
