Teaching Time Quarter 3rd
Grade 8 Wordsworth
The learner demonstrates understanding of key concepts
A. Content Standards of axiomatic structure of geometry and triangle
congruence.
1. The Learner is able to formulate an organized
plan to handle a real-life situation.
2. The Learner is able to communicate
mathematical thinking with coherence and clarity
B. Performance Standard
in formulating, investigating, analyzing, and
solving real-life problems involving congruent
triangles using appropriate and accurate
representations.

At the end of the lesson, the students are able to:
1. Illustrate the SSS Postulate.
C. Learning Competency 2. Determine the triangles that are congruent by
SSS Postulate.
3. Prove two triangles are congruent by SSS

Simple Recall about ASA Postulate:

A. Reviewing previous lesson or

presenting the new lesson.

B.)Establishing a purpose for the lesson

 What shape or figure serves as the main supporter of
the bridge?
 Why triangles are the most commonly used geometric
figure in building and constructing bridges?
Scientific Explanation:
 Triangles are the strongest shape because
any added force is evenly spread through all
the three sides.

- To explain this further, a video presentation will be

shown to the students.

-The Teacher would like to point out here that for us

to utilized effectively the triangles, then we must take
into consideration the measurements of the sides.
The sides of each triangle in a given figure must be
equal to one another correspondingly

SSS Postulate
 If all the sides of one triangle are congruent
to all of the sides of a second triangle, then
the triangles are congruent.

C. Presenting examples/ instances of the new

lesson

1. Pair the triangles that are congruent by sss

Instructions
 The class will be divided into four groups.
Each group will be given a task and will work
on it for 7 minutes. After that, the group will
be assigning a representative who will be
F.Developing mastery tasked to present the output of the entire
group in front.

that each member is working and cooperating
in the given task.
