BOOK
MOVIE
1. What a wonderful movie!!! I really love the message about bringing people together
through music and family. I really love Miguel's character because even though he and
Mama Coco brought love and music back he still learns how important his family is. Miguel
and Mama Coco were able to bring music back because they realize that if they want to be a
good family, they have to be good listeners. Anthony Gonzalez's performance as Miguel
was great. Miguel is a deeply developed character who finds a passion for what is important
in his family I also really enjoyed Gael Garcia Bernal's performance as Hector. Hector acts
as Miguel's mentor to guide him through his journey. I was also impressed with Benjamin's
performance as Ernesto de la Cruz. Ernesto's personality is as a charming, suave, wise, and
sensible individual who encouraged others to follow their dreams no matter what. He also
gives advice only about fame. Alanna Ubach's performance as Mama Imelda was also great.
Mama Imelda is bitter, strict, and stern but changes her personality because she wanted to
contribute more to her family. I also really liked Ana Ofelia Murguia's performance as
Mama Coco. Mama Coco was the only person that understood him. She is a warm-hearted,
supportive, and kind woman but she suffers from a degenerating memory but doesn't let
that interfere with her happiness. And I also really loved Dante, one of the family's spirit
guides and Miguel's best friend. Dante goes with Miguel on his hero journey because he
wants to help him become a musician by guiding him down the right path. That is a very
exciting sequence. Pixar sets this story in Mexico on El dia de Los Muertos because that's
the one night when families come together to celebrate and to give to the dead. They
celebrate with Mexican music and Mexican music is such a beautiful piece of music. I also
really loved how they used a lot of Spanish vocabulary in this movie. It gave me time to
practice my Spanish. The most wonderful thing about learning a language is its language
and culture. They make us stronger, more creative, more inspired. It's with all these sounds
and all our differences that make the world a richer place. If we deny our differences that is
denying the truth of who we are. When looking at the music score, my favorite song was
called, "Proud Corazon." Corazon means heart and what the song is showing is that by
accomplishing something you have a proud heart. Achieve something means you are able
to take challenges and be able to go beyond. The movie was filled with humor, fear,
optimism, empathy, and sincerity. My family and I will carry on this message to the end of
time. Thank you Pixar Studios for the astounding movie! Please keep making more films
that focus on heartfelt messages which bring people together by accepting differences and
hearing stories that go unnoticed.
2. Miguel a 12 year old boy, who is accidentally transported, to the land of the dead where
he seeks the help from his long dead mexican, great-great-grandfather musician, the
charming trickster named Hector. He helps return him to his family among the living and to
lift his family's ban on music. Miguel’s old family generation actually banned music, and
young Miguel dreamed of becoming a successful musician like his idol Ernesto de la Cruz.
Hector helped Miguel on his quest to find the famous singer Ernesto de la Cruz and escape
the Land of the Dead. And they only later on figured out that Héctor and Miguel actually had
a hidden connection.
I honestly give this movie a….five out of five stars, this movie was literally one of my
absolute favourites! Me and my cousins literally watched it at 3 am!
I gave it a 5 out of 5 stars because I really loved the message about bringing people together
through music and family. It showed, and greatly explained, the importance of family and
love. I loved Miguel's character and personality because even though he and Mama Coco
brought music and love back , he still realizes how important his family is. I also loved the
Mexican Culture it showed, as I love learning about different cultures and traditions. And I
definitely can’t forget about their accents! Their accent is literally the most beautiful thing
ever.
3. I wasn't sure what to expect with this film but I was pleasantly surprised. It was
emotional, colorful, smart and teaches the importance of celebrating family. The story
follows a young boy who has dreams about playing guitar but his family is oddly against the
idea because of his great, great Grandfather. The boy finds himself traveling to the land of
the dead and meeting his deceased family members who help to try get him back to the
land of the living while also filling him in on why his family is against music. For a film based
around music I was happily impressed that there wasn't too many songs and the songs they
did have weren't what I would call "catchy", but they were pleasant and easy to listen to,
almost relaxing. The middle of the film does drag a little bit, not ever to the point that I lost
interest mind you, but the powerful emotional ending more than makes up for it. I'm a
grown man but goddamn, even I had a tears in my eye... I liked the film as a whole and can't
pick just one specific scene as my favourite but I really enjoyed the spirit animals - colorful,
unique and powerful.
Final Verdict: A good start was followed by a slightly drawn out middle section but then it
storms home with an incredibly emotional ending! A good moral story about family and
celebrating those who came before based around the dream of a young boy who just wants
to play guitar. Highly recommended
Song: un poco loco / remember me
1. WOW. Just WOW. This is one of the greatest movies I have ever seen. Theres so much to
just talk about!
Firstly, the most well-known part. The freaking music. There is not a single bad song in this
movie. Some are more memorable than others, but I think the one everyone knows about is This
is Me. And then theres songs like Never enough, and its just so amazing!
The acting is good as well. The main characters are played to near perfection. And it's nice to
see Hugh Jackman in the staring roll, and characters like Zendaya and Zac Efron are also played
very well.
I also like the theme of a circus. To be honest, what portrays in the movie is much more exciting
to what it is in real life. (That is to be expected) But it brings together these odd characters, and
makes the special.
This is a musical that everyone should watch at least once. I would STRONGLY recommend this
movie!
2. what I really loved about this movie is that all of the cast members who were in this
movie who sang and danced to all the songs sounded and acted like just spectacular angels
who are all alive!!! They really really really do!!! So I really really really hope that all the
cast members that performed in all the songs continue to sing and dance in the future
musical movies because this is what these cast members are awesome at and I know that
really like doing musical movies and I am pretty sure that musical movies play everything
that they love because the cast that performed songs in movies love the sing and dance and
as far as I know they are awesome at it!!! The songs themselves always makes enthusiastic
and energetic ever time I watch this movie because of the cast members who performed
in these songs and danced!!! These cast members are awesome and it literally plays
everything that love about acting!!!! When looking at the music score my most favorite
song was the one found in the middle of the movie called, "Rewrite the Stars," performed
by Zac Efron and Zendaya who just sounded and acted just like spectacular and angels!!!!!!
This songs really contributes to the films message about other people coming together
and that others who are different will be accepted socially. When I heard and saw Zac and
Zendaya perform and sing this song I was just so toughed by it because it just makes me so
happy when Phillip and Anne are together and they deserve to be with each other and be
loved by one another because they are really meant for each other which makes so happy
when they are together especially in this song. This song also made me reflect on some of
their previous musical movies they’ve done especially Zac. I was just so happy that singed
again and he still has his wonderful and outstanding angel singing voice and dancing. This
movie is full of music, fame, empathy, faith, talent, love, and family. Thank you so much
production companies for the outstanding movie! In my strong opinion this is one of the
most successful movies you guys have ever created!!! Please keep making more musical
films that focus on heartfelt messages which bring people together by accepting
differences and hearing stories that go unnoticed.
3. In our house, we are big fans of the movie “The Greatest Showman”. The actors, the
story line, and oh, the songs! I have listened to the soundtrack on repeat more times than I
am possibly count. Every time I hear the songs, I can’t help but think about how much I love
it! I love the words, the message of the songs, and the story line too! As I was watching it
one of these most recent times, it occurred to me that there are some amazing life lessons
in this movie.
If you haven’t seen the movie, I won’t give away too many spoilers, but here are 5 Life
Lessons from The Greatest Showman:
1. Don’t get bogged down in circumstances- Have a vision for yourself and where you
want to go. Barnum (the main character) grew up poor, lost his father, and then was
homeless and hungry as a young orphan. Despite this, he maintained his vision for himself.
He was resourceful and did what he needed to push forward. Even when the father of his
love interest didn’t believe in him, he persevered in winning her heart. You might feel like a
failure. You might be stuck in a job you don’t like or a relationship that doesn’t feel fulfilling.
You might feel afraid to take a chance. I encourage you to take your eyes off of where you
are right now, and raise your eyes to where you’d like to be! What are YOUR goals for
yourself? Start working today on making that a reality! Surround yourself with those who
support you in your goals and seek therapy if you find that there are things you can’t get
past on your own.
2. Be yourself-The best part of the movie is the “oddities”, those stars in Barnum’s Circus.
These people begin as hiding from society – they feel they are too short, or too tall, or “odd”
looking in other ways. The mother of one of them even denied having a son because she
was so ashamed of him. They are ashamed of themselves for not fitting in. Barnum looks at
them, and inspires them to not shrink away, but to stand up and be seen! They end up fully
embracing themselves and not be afraid to be different. The song “This is Me” is so
powerful:
“I am brave, I am bruised
I am who I'm meant to be, this is me”
This song inspires me that we aren’t meant to live as perfect people in our perfect little
houses. Don’t be afraid to be real, to be raw, to be authentically you. This can mean living
your values, but can also mean your hair style, your clothes, your personality! I challenge
you to start accepting yourself.
5. Keep perspective-Remember why you are fighting or who it’s all for. Barnum loses
track of the most important things in the fight for fame and glory. When he’s at rock
bottom, he remembers those who have been by his side through it all and loved him
regardless. It’s easy to become obsessed with achievement or success; it’s easy to be
distracted by the next shiny thing you see. But, keeping in mind your values and your
priorities helps keep you centered in having a balanced life. Be able to see the blessings in
your life in the midst of chaos and that can help you keep your priorities in line.

EXAMPLE
It has been a year since the start of the Covid-19 Pandemic. This has impacted our
lives globally. The viruse spreads through water droplets from an infected person. Recently,
the number of cases in Malaysia has increased rapidly. There are a few steps we can take to
reduce our risk of contracting Covid-19.
First, practicing good hygiene is important to prevent the spread of Covid-19.
Touching a contaminated surface and then touching your face can cause infection. Avoid
touching your eyes, nose, or mouth with unwashed hands. Was your hands with soup and
water frequently and scrub for 20 seconds. If soap and water are not available, use hand
sanitizer or disinfectant wipes. Moreover, it is also mandatory to wear a face mask in public
places.
In conclusion, this virus is likely to be with us for many years, so developing the
habist of good hygiene, physical distancing and self-isolation are good strategies for keeping
our community healthy. We will rise to the challenge in dealing with the pandemic if we
follow the standard operating procedures (SOP) set by the authority.
