Preface
I want to say thank you to he Keynote speakers in The 1st Paris Van Java International Seminar on
Computer, Science, Engineering and Technology (PVJ-ISComSET 2020) conjuction with Business
Innovation and Engineering Conference (BIEC 2020), for your willingness to become the speakers in this
conference. And also to all the participants of The 1st PVJ-ISComSET 2020.
The 1st Paris Van Java International Seminar on Computer, Science, Engineering and Technology
(PVJ-ISComSET), provides an excellent international forum for sharing knowledges and results in
theory, methodology, and applications of Computer, Science, Engineering and Technology in theoretical
and practical aspects. The conference aims to provide a platform to the researchers and practitioners
from both academia as well as industry to meet and share cutting-edge development. It was carried out
online through the Zoom application with a capacity of 1000 people. The Zoom application is also
equipped with a Zoom breakout feature to support the implementation of contribution and streaming
sessions on YouTube.
This event supported by several universities as Co-Host, including: Universitas Muhammadiyah
Sidoarjo, Universitas Muhammadiyah Bandung, Sekolah Tinggi Ilmu Kesehatan Aisyiyah Bandung,
STKIP Setia Budhi Rangkasbitung, Universitas Langlangbuana, Universitas Suryakancana, STTIF Bogor,

Yani, Sekolah Tinggi Analis Bakti Asih, Sekolah Tinggi Ilmu Kesehatan Respati, STISIP Bina Putera
Banjar, Sekolah Tinggi Ilmu Ekonomi Muhammadiyah Bandung, Sekolah Tinggi Teknologi Mandala,
Universitas Muhammadiyah Kendari, STKIP Pangeran Dharma Kusuma, STKIP Muhammadiyah Bogor,
and Sekolah Tinggi Muhammadiyah Cileungsi. The conference program consists of 5 keynote speakers.
The seminar's was held online because Indonesia and other countries are still experiencing the Covid-
19 pandemic, so face-to-face seminars cannot do it. Although the implementation of PVJ ISComSET
2020 is an online conference, the venue for this seminar is still being held at the campus of Universitas
Muhammadiyah Tasikmalaya, Tasikmalaya, Indonesia, as a host in Zoom application.
In the implementation of the 2nd PVJ ISComSET 2020, there are still two sessions: plenary and
contribution. There were Five presenters from 3 countries in the Plenary Session, namely the Malaysia,
Bangladesh, and Indonesia. The Plenary Session will be held from 8 am - 4 pm (Western Indonesian
Time). Meanwhile, the Contribution Session was divided into 20 parallel rooms using the Zoom
breakout feature, which was attended by 415 presenters.
The keynote speakers’ presentations are provided, mainly to show the contribution of Computer,
Science, Engineering and Technology towards research and knowledge sharing. We have Five keynote
speakers coming from the Majelisdiktilitbang PP Muhammadiyah, Adam Jerusalem, Ph.D.; International
Islamic Universiti Malaysia (IIUM), Prof. Dr. Erwin Sulaeman; Independent University, Bangladesh,
Prof. Dr. Md. Mamun Habib; Universiti Sultan Zainal Abidin (UnisZa) Malaysia, Mohamad Afendee
Mohamed, Ph.D.; Universitas Muhammadiyah Surakarta, Prof. Dr. Muhtadi, M.Si.
The discussion process in the plenary session activity and contribution occurred in two directions
because 1 Moderator and 1 Interpreter accompany each Session of the keynote speaker (the Plenary
Session) and Presenter (the Contribution Session). So, the implementation of the discussion becomes
more active.
The room of the Plenary Session contained up to 800 participants, while the contribution session
reached 500 people (including 415 presenters & 85 participants) in the zoom application. Meanwhile,
in the contribution session using the breakout application found in the zoom application. Thus, the
discussion process, the feasibility of space for Q&A, becomes more optimal, effective, and efficient. All
participants in this activity came from various regions in various countries, such as Malaysia,
Bangladesh, India, Algeria, and Indonesia.
In the implementation of PVJ ISComSET 2020, the technical difficulties that occur are the internet
connection, which sometimes hinders the speakers' delivery of material. However, this is not a big
obstacle. During the plenary session, a streaming process was also carried out via youtube
(https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BVO8hZak-Eg) so that the Speaker at PVJ ISComSET 2020
presented all information can be seen by the wider community, especially the Computer, Science,
Engineering and Technology community.
The following are figures that show the PVJ ISComSET 2020 process online.
