BRIGADA ESKWELA 2022
KICK-OFF CEREMONY
Brigada Eskwela is an annual program of the Department of Education that intends to bring
together all education, stakeholders to participate and contribute this time and effort and other
resources to prepare public school facilities for the opening school year. It has several advantages. It
saves resources on the part of the school, it fosters oneness and cooperation among all
stakeholders, it ensures student learning, the cleanliness of the facilities becomes appealing, and
the learning environment is safe.
This year's Brigada is very different from previous years due to the ongoing effect of the
COVID-19 virus, which affects many lives as well as the learning status of the Department of
Education. It infected the entire world, and sadly, our country has been severely impacted by this
pandemic. The theme for today's Brigada Eskwela is Tugon sa hamon ng ligtas na Balik-Aral. It
emphasizes the challenges that the school would face, especially in today's learning era.
The Pasonanca National High School conducted a Kick-Off Ceremony to take part in the
celebration of BRIGADA ESKWELA 2022 led by Ermaflor Villanueva, who serves as the committee
Chair for this event together with her team and not to forget the Brigada Eskwela Coordinator,
Ms. Mayshell Bronzal .
The ceremony was held at Pasonanca National High School School Grounds on August 1,
2022. The said program started at exactly 8:30 am and everyone was encouraged to attend. All
the teachers , parents, students, and stakeholders are present that day. Before the formal
program began, the community was invited to attend a Zumba session led by Mr. July Panday,
a Zumba instructor and one of our faculty members at the institution.
This was followed by the part 2 program, the formal flow . The program began with a
payer led by Ms. Ermaflor Villanueva and followed by Pambansang Awit and Zamboanga Hermosa
led by the Voix Profeseur, the official choir of PNHS, composed of teachers from different
subject areas. It was then followed by the audiovisual presentation of the different hymns. Next
were the physical preparation and safety protocols explained by Ms. Myra Abdulla, the School
Clinic Nurse. As for the opening remarks, Mrs. Melodia C. Palco-Timosan , the Head Teacher,
humbly delivered her speech and welcomed everyone warmly. Next was the presentation of the
advocacy video. It was led by Ms. Mary Ann Daigan, the Committee Chair for the Campaign,
together with her team . The video was really meaningful, instructional, and promotional. After
that, Ms. Rowena Abequibel, the registration Committee Chairperson, presented the different
stakeholders and participants from different organizations. It was then followed by Mrs. Jessica
Ochavilla , Master Teacher I, who introduced the Brigada Eskwela Steering Committee for SY
2022-2023. She then asked the teachers to come to the front in order to be recognized.

For the Presentation of Brigada Eskwela's Action Plan, Work Plan, Floor Plan, and Schedule,
Ms. Mayshell Bronzal , the Brigada Eskwela Focal Person, explained and presented it through a
visual presentation. She then delivered it very well as the stakeholders were really listening very
well. Lastly, to end the program, Mr. Anthony Bernas, Head Teacher-I, partakes in his closing
remarks, which summarize the in-person ceremony. He thanked everyone for their support and the
success of the program .

Means of Verification
The stage set-up for the Brigada Eskwela Kick-off Ceremony was prepared by the
Committee Chairperson, Ermaflor Villanueva, together with her members, Sir Joey
Jacalan, Roi Ceazar Ventura, Karsum Patdi, Haidee Albot, and Ma. Luz Antonio. This
was prepared a day before the event.

The School Clinic Nurse is having a little fun games before explaining her
physical preparation and safety protocols during the Brigada Eskwela.
The Voix Profeseur led the invocation and the singing of Pambansang Awit and
Zamboanga Hermosa. The group is composed of PNHS teachers.

The Registration Committee during the Brigada Eskwela kick-off Ceremony is headed
by Ms. Rowena Abequibel and her members.
After the program was concluded, we then had the pictorial together with the stakeholders, volunteers ,
teachers, and students for the Brigada Eskwela 2022.
