Mandatory to pay full wages with allowances as per Govt. of Maharashtra notification

Central Govt. Advisory - Ministry of Labour and Employment issued an advisory dated 30.03.2020
through CHIEF LABOUR COMMISSIONER (Central ) to all the Regional heads that all
employees/workers may be deemed to be on duty in case their place of employment is made non-
operational due to outbreak of COVID-19.
No Termination / reducing wages:- Government has also advised to all private and public enterprises
not to terminate their employees including the casual and contract workers from the jobs and also not
to reduce or deduct their wages for the period if employees take quarantine Leave.

Making Arrangements for stranded / migrant workers - Government has also been advised to all
state governments/Union Territories to ensure adequate arrangements of temporary shelter and
provision of food etc. for the poor and needy, including migrant workers stranded due to lock down
measures in their respective areas.

Online system for permission to operate industrial establishments for essential services - With
reference to Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA), Government of India (GOI) Order No. 40- 3/2020
dated 24-03-2020, industrial establishments manufacturing essential commodities and production
units requiring continuous process are allowed to operate during the national lockdown. To
facilitate such establishments in providing a no-contact permission letter to operate their units,
MIDC has developed an online system for issuing these permission letters across all the 36
districts of Maharashtra.

EPFO Circular On Alternative Documents as Proof of Date Of Birth – EPF vide circular
no.WSU/37(1)2019/DOB in supersession of earlier circulars dated 12th December
2006 and 12th December 2017 has accepted certain documents as a valid proof of
date of birth, As per the notification, the following are the list of documents:
Birth Certificate issued by the Registrar of Births and Deaths,
Any School/education-related Certificate,
Certificate based on the service records of the Central/ State Government
Organizations,
Passport,
In the absence of proof of date of birth as above, Medical Certificate issued by Civil
Surgeon after examining the member medically and supported with an affidavit on oath
by the member duly authenticated by a Competent Court.
Aadhar/e-Aadhar: The change in date of birth shall be accepted as per Aadhar /e-
Aadhar up to a maximum range of plus or minus three years of the date of birth
recorded earlier with EPFO.
