Problem : It’s difficult to get the weather update and access the gps during the ride which

can
make our eyes off from the road.
Solution : The current location is fetched from the user’s mobile through Android application
and will be sent to the processor and the location co-ordinates are used to get the weather
information. A weather API is used to get the weather information. This API specializes in
weather forecasting and visualization. A spoken summary of weather is directed through the
speakers for the convenience of user at stipulated time. The address of the location is displayed
along with latitude and longitude parameters which will be used further for getting weather
information. In other hand, the helmet is made with a gps voice prompt system which can be
used to get the routes to reach our destination. We can access this gps system by the hands
free voice assistant and search the routes for your destination through it.

Problem : It’s hard to investigate about an accident because there is no any cameras that we
can fixed in a motorcycle like the dash cam in a car.
Solution : For solve this kind of problems we designed our smart helmet with a camera which
we can capture the video and images through the camera. The camera is connected to the
mobile phone and the image and video which is captured by the camera will uploaded on a free
cloud storage like dropbox. The videos are shot after every 5 minutes and stored in the internal
memory. When accident event is triggered the clip is sent to the dropbox which can be used in
case of an investigation.

Problem : Sometimes It’s difficult to a person to attend a call or wear a earphone or airpods to
hear a song while riding in the motorcycle.
Solution : This kind of problem can be solve by our smart helmet which is include with a
speaker with a good sound quality. The speakers will be installed inside the helmet near the
ears of the user. They are fixed at the right distance from the ear and sponge pads will be fitted
to it for comfort. The sound quality should be good while the maximum volume should not
deafen the rider on the road. Furthermore, the sound from the speaker units must be able to
overcome the ambient road, tyre, engine, and wind noise when in commute. Moreover, there is
an adjustable waterproof microphone on the right edge of the helmet positioned towards the
mouth of the user. The stem of the microphone is pliable and its length can be adjusted
accordingly, so that it does not become a distraction for the rider when in use.

Problem : Most of the helmet in the market isn’t comes with a waterproof feature and used bad
materials to design it.
Solution : A weatherproof system is an important requirement as the helmet will be exposed to
heat and rain during daily commute because the weather can be unpredictable. In our smart
helmet we used waterproof and breathable fabrics will keep you dry and comfortable which is
pretty important when we ride somewhere far. Moreover, it is essential that the system is water-
resistant so that it does not malfunction during everyday use.
