I. OBJECTIVES 1. Identify the general idea (main idea) and specific details (supporting details) of the
given text;
2. Determine the transition words used in the text with general-specific pattern idea
development;
3. Connect general ideas and specific ideas using appropriate transition signals; and
4. Construct sentences using appropriate transition signals that show general-specific
pattern idea development.
