QUARTERLY
RANKINGS

1
FROM THE CEO CHRIS ADAMS
Welcome to SharpRank’s Q3 Report. As a Company, we look for ways to improve our offerings while not sacrificing
our market responsibility as the industry’s Independent Ratings Agency. At SharpRank, we represent the tip of the
integrity spear in sports betting and we do not take that lightly. On a weekly basis we see, evidence, and catalog
multiple misrepresentations of reporting data across the industry. It is our responsibility to point out when mistakes
are made to elevate this industry and stabilize its growth. And, we will do what is necessary to ensure that. We have seen what
happens in more mature markets if we do not establish this standardized validation responsible for unlocking the casual consumer
and tying in financial products/markets.

Collectively, the US market presents an opportunity to build a total addressable market that is orders of magnitude larger than
projections currently suggest. All of that potential growth - and we mean all of it - hinges on trust, validation, and integrity.

WHAT’S NEW
This quarter we introduced the industry’s Pitch Book equivalent in SharpRank+. Access reports, research, audits, and a whole lot
more. Everything. All in one place. There are both consumer and commercial access levels within SharpRank+. While a lot of the
report will look familiar, we showcase some SharpRank+ features in the Spotlight Heatmap, Audit Report(s), Sport Snapshot(s), etc.
From a data science standpoint, we produced our first set of Bias Metrics - we will continue to dig in there. All that said, we spent
the past quarter refining our Audit process, improving our ratings algorithm based on learnings, and fine tuning existing metrics -
like TAR, Princeton Percentile, Alignment, and BBS. All of which can be found in a Sharp’s Tearsheet. Make no mistake, we are an
Independent Ratings Agency, whose core functions are data science and technology.

AUDIT
Misinformation is one of this industry’s biggest obstacles. SharpRank’s Audit process is overseen and executed by CPAs and former
Big4 Public Accountants. For those unfamiliar with an audit process, here are definitive attributes we test:

• Completeness: all picks that have been disclosed in a given time period have actually occurred in that time period and no
information is excluded improperly
• Accuracy: picks (types and amounts) and other related data are correct; ratings and rankings are shown correctly and for their
intended use without misrepresentation
• Existence: picks (types and amounts) of which claims have been made, are real and have happened
• Valuation: attributes (line, odds, etc) of picks made are valid and available at a licensed US sportsbook at time of selection
• Occurrence: picks are accessible to the consumer, and such picks pertain to the relevant Sharp and/or Platform
• Presentation: proper disclosure to the consumer and aggregation of information (rating, ranking, etc), in an understandable
manner to the required frameworks

Testing thresholds are determined based on confidence levels and materiality of the exposure, individual Sharp, Platform, and the
entirety of the population. There are, of course, certain criteria that demand 100% certainty, specifically early in the coverage phase.
The more we can standardize this validation process the more efficient it will become for the industry participants. There is an example
of this process’s output later in the report. We use a combination of automated scripts and manual testing to ensure SharpRank’s
approach is comprehensive; enabling the safest environment for consumers to source information. As we see the market evolve,
we have seen the full versions of these Audit Reports used to facilitate partnerships, affiliate deal structure, negotiate contracts for
internal functions with HR, due diligence, and more. Standardized validation, complete transparency, and independence will always
be necessary to move this market forward.

TOC DEFINITIONS
02 INTRO TAR – TALENT ABOVE REPLACEMENT
SharpRank has successfully implemented our sports betting take on baseball’s
WAR (Wins Above Replacement) statistic. TAR, or “Talent Above Replacement”,
03 GLOSSARY shares the objective of encapsulating overall performance in one statistic that
determines if a player/Sharp is better or worse than the average replacement
04 ENTERPRISE MEDIA RANKINGS and by how much. By considering return on investment, closing line value, the
Princeton Percentile, and Volume Index, we have defined the average replacement
Sharp in the sports betting market and assigned value to individual Sharps
05 ENTIRY MEDIA RANKINGS that gives an indication of both past and future performance. This metric has
amplified impact and implications for content platforms as it digs into an array of
metrics tailored specifically for outlets looking for the perfect mix of high content
06 NFL PICK VOLUME production and ability.

07 CFB/SEC PICK VOLUME PRINCETON PERCENTILE

Named after the birthplace of Game Theory, this metric is based on a multi-faceted
payoff matrix. This is the truest form of measuring risk/reward trade-offs. Given the
08 METRICS: TOP 5 SHARPS multiple options for a Sharp to pick, the Princeton Percentile demonstrates both
Opportunity Cost – how much a Sharp leaves on the table, versus Opportunity Gain
– how much a Sharp advantageously increases their position. For instance, if a
09 METRICS: TOP 5 PLATFORMS Sharp chooses a moneyline pick on an underdog and the bet wins, the opportunity
gain would be the difference in money/units between taking the underdog against
the spread and taking them to win outright. Conversely, if the underdog lost but
10 SPOTLIGHT HEAT MAP covered the spread, the opportunity cost would be the sum of money/units lost, and
the amount that could have been won picking the spread. When aggregated, both
11 AUDIT REPORT: SPORTS ILLUSTRATED cumulative and weighted, the result is a net percentile relative to the dataset.

12 SHARP ECOSYSTEM NAIL – NATIONAL AVERAGE INDICATOR LINE

Given the vast, multi-layered data set aggregated by SharpRank, some metrics
and rankings can leverage a benchmark. In the Overall and by Sport Company
13 NFL RANKINGS rankings, the NAIL refers to the average raw score of the overall and segmented
data sets, respectively. For instance, if the data set rankings for Overall Enterprise
(p. 4) is based off of 100 platforms, the NAIL would be the average raw score
14 CFB RANKINGS of the 100 Enterprises. If the data set for Overall Entity (p.5) is based of 500
platforms, the Entity NAIL would be the average raw score of the 500 Entities. The
Raw Score is based on SharpRank’s positioning algorithm which ever evolves and
15 MLB RANKINGS blends four proprietary concepts/calculations: 2 backwards looking and 2 forward
looking. The companies that sit above this National Average have higher overall
ratings and consequently higher rated individuals. If the NAIL is not present on
16 INDEX the graph it can be assumed this benchmark sits under all listed rankings.

ENTERPRISE MEDIA RANKINGS
The Overall Enterprise Rankings are based on an organization and its currently covered subsidiaries’ cross-sport
performance; ranked by their affiliated Sharps performance during a defined time period which began at the
start of Q3 (July 1, 2022) and ended at the end of Q3 (September 30, 2022).

IMPORTANT
• During the portion of the quarter where the only active sport was Major League Baseball (Weeks 1-7), the Enterprise data
set experienced high volatility, similar to effects and outcomes of day or high frequency trading.

TAKEAWAYS • The Talent Above Replacement (TAR) Bench activation from Q2, stabilized already high performing TAR rosters and
enhanced the positioning of lower performing rosters.

SPECTRUM LOW VOLUME HIGH VOLUME

IMPORTANT
• Broken down by team, heavy NFL Volume trends towards high profile teams, elite quarterbacks, and number of primetime games,
supporting (with a few exceptions) the bias testing SharpRank has executed.

TAKEAWAYS • The increase in Volume throughout the 2021 season is largely due to Sharps letting the teams demonstrate their identities early in the
season, and thus 2022 Volume is expected to increase over the next month of the season.

IMPORTANT
• In the same period year over year comparison, the highest increases in Volume, Arkansas and Tennessee, were tied to many Sharps’
