NARRATIVE REPORT ON TREE PLANTING EXPERIENCE

“ Plant and protect a tree like you do for a child”

A small praise on trees is equal to all philosophies of life as life exists on Earth because of trees.
Trees are among the greatest natural wonder and are among the greatest gift to man and other living
things that depend on it. Trees provide us with two essential things in life these are food and oxygen.
Apart from these, trees also provide additional necessities like shelter, medicine among other
environmental benefits. However, as their values continue to increase as more benefits of trees are
being discovered the demand for trees have increased to satisfy the modern lifestyle. The sad reality
is that humans continue destroying trees without realizing the effects in the future. The forest cover in
many parts of the world is
shrinking because of human activities, and lack of adequate trees has resulted in globalwarming. There
are several ways in which people are misusing natural resources, especially trees hence harming the
ecosystem, such activities like illegal logging, clearing forest for development have negatively
impacted on the environment. For these reasons, we believe that planting trees is important to save our
Mother Earth. Trees are useful to both humans and other living organisms; they give us so much with
nothing in return, they help us live in a cool environment, providing us with a charming environment
that is why we need to act responsibly by planting more trees. In order to help solve the continuous
destruction of our Mother Earth due to global warming and climate change. Dr. Jojo R. Jose, our
professor, encourages his Master in Education (MED) students at Colegio De Dagupan (CDD), Dagupan
City, Pangasinan to participate in Tree Planting Activity as one part of the community extension services.
It is his personal advocacy to save our Mother Earth, we, as MED students of CDD, School of Advance
Studies, in our own ways, can be an integral part of this mission. The said activity is scheduled on March
9,2019 at Brgy. Pagal, San Carlos City, Pangasinan. We think now the time has come for everyone to be
ceremonious in planting the trees and maintaining ecosystem. The program of activities started at 7:30
A.M. with registration of the participants at the Brgy. Hall of Pagal, San Carlos City, Pangasinan and 8:30
A. M.our professor Dr. Jojo R. Jose delivered his inspirational message regarding the importance and
benefits of tree planting in our community and environment.
All participants are enlightened about how significant trees are and were able to appreciate the
collaborative efforts of everyone. Right after the program,
the participants proceeded to the community area for the Tree Planting Activity. We planted almost 50 s
eedlings of different varieties. After the tree planting, snackswas served. It was a successful activity.
Participants are all happy believing that tree planting helps connect people in the community to the
benefits of trees and foster environmental stewardship.
