The Final Say

The school year is about to begin and Chichi is very excited. Though she will not be seeing her
classmates, talking with them via Facebook Messenger is already enough for her. The thought of being
together in the same school again although they will not be having face-to-face classes, is still okay with
her. She called her friend Ivana for some updates.
Phone conversation with Ivana
Chichi:(14) _________________________________________________________________________
Ivana: “Doing okay here, besh. My parents have already enrolled me online. Ms. Cortez forwarded the
link to our gc. Did you see it?”
Chichi:(15) _________________________________________________________________________
Ivana: “Ayt! Tell me what happened, okay?”
Chichi checked the messages in their group chat and saw the link. She hurriedly went to her mom to tell
her about it.
Chichi: “Mom, have you seen this? There is already a link for enrollment.”
Mom: “Yes dear. That was also forwarded in the parents’ GC.”
Chichi:(16) _________________________________________________________________________
Mom: “Chichi listen, dear, sit down for a while. I need to tell you something.”
Due to the pandemic, their small business is not making that much money like before. In addition, her
Dad’s company had to stop operations for the time being. So, her parents decided to transfer their children
to a public school.
