INT – LIVING ROOM HOUSE – NIGHT

The War between Russia and Ukraine raged on until Putin got
fed up and Nuked the world – You can hear the sirens and this
is the last minutes on earth before it all ends – The Timpson
family - James the Youngest child aged 7 Michel Oldest aged 13
David Father and Susan the Mother. They all sit in the living
room saying good bye to the world – Lights flicker as
electricity is down sirens sound warning people about the
impending doom.

DAVID

DAVID hears the siren outside and checks the news

Sees what is happing

Calls family into the room for the last time

Susan James Michel, he calls

SUSAN
What’s wrong dear.

JAMES & MICHEL

Scared after seeing their dad who is blank white

DAVID

David points to the TV on the wall a live feed of the nuke

count down with a timer till impact

SUSAN

JAMES

James looks up at his mother with a worried look

Mum are we going to die

SUSAN

No James, she says lying though her teeth

DAVID

L.L.Lets go watch some TV like a family, David says with

a stutter
TV is something the family enjoys every night they will go
down stairs and spend an hour watching tv as a family

SUSAN

That’s a good idea as she sits down on the sofa and

changes the channel

She keeps the timer on her phone to check time remaining 3:16
until impact

Susan picks up the remote and puts on Netflix

MICHEL

Michel looks up to is mum and dad and knows what is going on

Susan gives a look of fear back

Michel grabs Susan and David’s hand

JAMES

What’s going on mum

SUSAN

Susan tries to calm James as he looks worried and scared

Nothing sweetie as she slouches closer to James

DAVID

David takes the remote from Susan and puts on a sitcom they
all used to watch

Mum my feet ache

SUSAN

Susan looks at James with the start of a tear falling down her
face

She rubs James feet to try make him feel better

She then checks her phone 2:21

DAVID & MICHEL

David and Michel see the phone and hug closer

The tv is still on with their favourite sitcom

JAMES

James Laughs at a joke on the sitcom

The rest of the family lets out a little chuckle with tears
down Machel and Susan’s face

SUSAN

Susan whispers in Michaels ear I love you son

MICHAL
Michael says it back though floods of tears and a snotty
nose

DAVID

David who has been trying to stay calm has a tear drop on his
eye

The Entire family tries to stay normal though floods of tears

all except James who is fine and smiling at the TV

There is complete silence between the entire family except

James all you can hear is the lights flickering and sirens
outside

SUSAN

Susan in panic checks her phone and sees 1:34 left till impact

Panic ranges out though the streets of people screaming cars

horns as the purge has broken out

JAMES

Why are you guys crying

MICHEL DAVID SUSAN

They all give him a look of terror and fear until Susan says

It’s nothing James its ok

JAMES

James is naive and just goes back to watching the TV

 SUSAN

Susan Checks her phone again and 50 seconds left until the
atom bomb lands

They all grab each other’s hand

MICHEL

Michel Grabs his mum and dads’ hand and squeezes it super
tight

They all just look at the TV

40 Seconds left on the timer

MICHEL

Michel stars to shake out of terror

30 Seconds left on the timer

DAVID

David looks to his family and says

Good bye

Michel nods back

Susan gives him a blank stare

20 Seconds till impact

MICHEL

Starts bursting out crying and screaming

I don’t want to die mum

Please help me

SUSAN

Susan hugs him tighter accepting his inevitable fate

10 Seconds

They all start sobbing and crying

They all look blankly at each other white as a ghost while

James smiles and laughs at the TV

Everything feels like it’s in slow motion

It all goes slow as they look over and say their good bye

BOOM the bomb hits some where

James finally looks up from the TV and scream form the boom
