Head of Primary's Message

Dear Parents,

What a fabulous week we have had. Welcome back to all our returning families and of course a
special welcome to our new families too. The highlight of this week was undoubtedly the vast array
of smiles, hugs and hellos. As always, seeing the school alive with children as they skip into the
classrooms further highlights to us all why we love our jobs here.

I heard and read much about the special nature of the DIAEH community and this week has
confirmed what an incredibly special school this is. It has been a genuine pleasure to see and meet
so many parents and children and I look forward to meeting many more of you in our welcome
mornings next week (see Comm's Corner for details). These sessions are a chance for you to meet
some other parents, meet staff and hear a little more about the vision for the year.

As PADIA and Parent Reps begin to settle, please let's all work to ensure our new students and
families feel part of the community. Some are new to the school and even to the country, so
playdates and coffee will be well received I am sure.

As I mentioned in my welcome back letter, routines will naturally take time to settle and emerge,
and staff will be vigilant for any improvements we can make. If, however, you have any questions,
then please do look at the 'Comm's Corner' for contact details.

I hope you enjoy the weekend, we have all earned it.

Kind regards,

Tom Collar
