    Daily Lesson Plan (Arts 8) Date: October 5, 2022

    I. Objectives
    a. Content Standard: 1. art elements and processes by synthesizing and applying prior knowledge and skills; 2. the
    salient features of the arts of Southeast Asia by showing the relationship of the elements of art and processes
    among culturally diverse communities in the region; 3. Southeast Asian countries as having a rich artistic and
    cultural tradition from prehistoric to present times.
    b. Performance Standard: The learners…
    1. create artworks showing the characteristic elements of the arts of Southeast Asia
    2. exhibit completed artworks for appreciation and critiquing
    c. Instructional Objectives
    At the end of the period 80%of the students with 75% proficiency should be able to
    1. Cognitive: Identify the different elements and principles of arts.
    2. Psychomotor: Create a simple artwork showing the different elements of arts.
    3. Affective: Appreciate the importance of elements of arts in an artwork through active participation
    in activities.
    II. Subject Matter

    C. Materials: laptop, speaker
    D. References: Week 1 MAPEH(Arts) Module, Music and Arts of Asia Learner’s Module
    III. Procedure
    A. Opening activity
    1. Greetings

    B. Priming
    View a video about elements of Arts. Students may take note if desired. After the video presentation,
    ask for a volunteer to identify the different elements of arts in the video presentation.
    C. Development of the lesson
    1. Activities
     The class will be divided into six (6) groups. Each group must choose a leader.
     The group leader then, will pick a rolled paper provided by the teacher. The rolled paper
    contains art elements and principles which will be used during the activity.
     Posted on the board are sample pictures showing the different elements and principles of
    arts. The group task is to choose a picture which represents the elements and principles
    assigned to them. They will be given 3 minutes to have a group brainstorming of ideas.
    2. Analysis
    The teacher will discuss the elements of arts.
    3. Abstraction
    a. Why is it very important to know and understand the elements and principles of arts?
    -The teacher will emphasize that the artist, who works with the principles of good composition
    (elements and principles of arts), will create a more interesting piece of art. A good knowledge
    of composition is essential in producing good artwork.
    4. Application
    Learners will make a simple artwork showing the different elements of arts.
    IV. Assignment
    Look around you. Observe the things you see and describe it using your basic knowledge about the elements
    and principles of arts.
