Course Description
This course is designed to refine and improve students’ critical reading, thinking and writing
skills. It focuses on increased analytical, inferential and evaluative comprehension,
employing effective reading and writing skills. Emphasis is given to reading into writing tasks
including reading systematically, and critically examining a variety of academic texts to write
a literature review. At the end of the course, the students will demonstrate their knowledge
and skills required by creating a secondary research poster.

6.3 Handle Questions and explain research in an engaging manner
Teaching Methodology
The instructor acts as a facilitator using the inquiry method in a learner-centered approach.
Learning activities include lectures, blended learning, discussion sessions,
reading into writing tasks and presentations. Students will be given ample opportunities to
apply the skills they learned in the classroom.
