Materials and Tools
 Yarn: 1 or more color of yarn. I use Catania cotton yarn in beige, green, red, brown
and white colors.
Change of colors are only advices, you can choose your own color patterns.
 Crochet hook: 2,0 mm and 1 mm
 Stuffing material: I use polyester wool and a chopstick to stuff the doll.
 Tapestry needle, scissors.
• Plastic safety eyes 7.00 mm (tree) and 5.00 mm (elf and dear). Do not forget to place
them before finishing the head.
•Two black beans (for Santa)
 Black, red and brown embroidery threads.
Abbreviations
mr = Magic ring
ch = Chain
st = Stitch
slst = Slip 1 stitch
sc = Single crochet
dc = Double crochet
tr=Treble crochet
() = Parentheses are used for repeated patterns of stitches, example: (sc 2, inc) x3
means repeat 3 times (2 simple crochet and one increase).
inc = 2 sc in the same stitch
inc dc = 2 dc in the same stitch
dec = sc 2 together but working in the front loops only

Cut the yarn leaving a long tail (40 cm) to sew.
Attach the eyes between rounds 21 and 22 with 6-7 stitches apart (fig 10).
Stuff the body lightly.

How to finish:
Using the long tail of yarn, start from second loop. Sew the opening through the front loops by
going across each stitches (fig 11, 12 and 13).

snowflakes.

Binding:
Insert the hook in first front loop of round 30 (fig 19). Pull up the white yarn through and make 1
chain (fig 20), insert the hook again in the same loop and crochet 1 sl st (fig 21). Make 1 chain

Make the second binding in green color on round 29.

Crochet 6 sc to be on the corner. Cut the yarn and close the hole (fig 7, 8 and 9).

Binding:
Lay your body at the backside facing you. Find the front loops of round 15. Insert the hook in
first front loop. Pull up the yarn through (fig 11) and make 1 chain, insert the hook again in the
same loop and crochet 1 sl st. Make this combination in each next front loop.

Cut the yarn and leave a tail.
BEARD
Work in back loops only. Lay face at the back side facing you. Skip 10 stitches. Attach the white
yarn and inert the hook in next stitch. Make a slip stitch and crochet 8 ch (fig 16), starting on the
2nd ch from the hook, sc all the way back with a total of 7 sc by doing the same procedure, follow
the pattern below.

How to make:
Insert your hook in the front loops (a) and then (b), go in the front loop (a) (fig 1) and in (b) (fig
2). Yarn over and pull through the front loops (a) and (b) (fig 3). Yarn over and pull through the 2
remaining loops (fig 5).
