Translation
“The lotus feet of our spiritual master is the only way to attain pure devotional service.
I bow down to His lotus feet with great awe and reverence. By His grace one can cross
the ocean of material suffering and attain the mercy of Krishna.
My only wish is to have my consciousness purified by the words emanating from His
lotus mouth. Attachment to His lotus feet is the perfection that fulfills all desires. He
opens my darkened eyes and fills my heart with transcendental knowledge. He is my
Lord birth after birth. From Him ecstatic prema emanates, by Him ignorance is
destroyed. The Vedic scriptures sing of His character.
Our Spiritual Master is the ocean of mercy, the friend of the poor, lord and master of the
devotees. O master, be merciful unto us, give us the shade of your lotus feet. Your fame
is spread all over the three worlds. We take shelter of your lotus feet. You are the savior
of the fallen conditioned souls.

Who Is His Divine Grace A.C.
Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada?

His Divine Grace A. C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada was born in 1896 in Calcutta, India.
He first met his spiritual master, Srila Bhaktisiddhanta Sarasvati Gosvami, in Calcutta in 1922.
Bhaktisiddhanta Sarasvati, a prominent devotional scholar and the founder of sixty-four
branches of Gaudiya Mathas (Vedic institutes), liked this educated young man and convinced
him to dedicate his life to teaching Vedic knowledge in the Western world. Srila Prabhupada
became his student, and eleven years later (1933) at Allahabad, he became his formally
initiated disciple.

At their first meeting, in 1922, Srila Bhaktisiddhanta Sarasvati Thakura requested Srila
Prabhupada to broadcast Vedic knowledge through the English language. In the years that
followed, Srila Prabhupada wrote a commentary on the Bhagavad-gita and in 1944, without
assistance, started an English fortnightly magazine.

Recognizing Srila Prabhupada’s philosophical learning and devotion, the Gaudiya Vaisnava
Society honored him in 1947 with the title “Bhaktivedanta.” In 1950, at the age of fifty-four, Srila
Prabhupada retired from married life, and four years later he adopted the vanaprastha (retired)
order to devote more time to his studies and writing. Srila Prabhupada traveled to the holy city
of Vrndavana, where he lived in very humble circumstances in the historic medieval temple of
Radha-Damodara. There he engaged for several years in deep study and writing. He accepted
the renounced order of life (sannyasa) in 1959. At Radha-Damodara, Srila Prabhupada began
work on his life’s masterpiece: a multivolume translation and commentary on the 18,000-verse
SrimadBhagavatam (Bhagavata Purana). He also wrote Easy Journey to Other Planets.

After publishing three volumes of Srimad Bhagavatam, Srila Prabhupada came to the United
States in 1965, to fulfill the mission of his spiritual master. Since that time, His Divine Grace
has written over sixty volumes of authoritative translations, commentaries and summary
studies of the philosophical and religious classics of India.
Page 6
On September 17th 1965, when he first arrived by freighter to Boston Commonwealth Pier,
Srila Prabhupada was practically penniless. It was after almost a year of great difficulty that he
established the International Society for Krishna Consciousness in July of 1966. Under his
careful guidance, the Society has grown within a decade to a worldwide confederation of
almost one hundred asramas, schools, temples, institutes and farm communities.

In 1968, Srila Prabhupada created New Vrndavana, an experimental Vedic community in the
hills of West Virginia. Inspired by the success of New Vrndavana, then a thriving farm
community of more than one thousand acres, his students founded several similar
communities in the United States and abroad.

In 1972, His Divine Grace introduced the Vedic system of primary and secondary education in
the West by founding the Gurukula School in Dallas, Texas. The school began with three
children in 1972, and by the beginning of 1975 the enrollment had grown to one hundred and
fifty.

Srila Prabhupada also inspired the construction of a large international center at Sridhama
Mayapur in West Bengal, India, which is also the site for a planned Institute of Vedic Studies.
A similar project is the magnificent Krsna-Balarama Temple and International Guest House in
Vrndavana, India. These are centers where Westerners can live to gain firsthand experience
of Vedic culture.

Srila Prabhupada’s most significant contribution, however, is his books. Highly respected by
the academic community for their authoritativeness, depth and clarity, they are used as
standard textbooks in numerous college courses. His writings have been translated into eighty-
five languages. The Bhaktivedanta Book Trust, established in 1972 exclusively to publish the
works of His Divine Grace, has thus become the world’s largest publisher of books in the field
of Indian religion and philosophy.

In the last ten years of his life, in spite of his advanced age, Srila Prabhupada circled the globe
twelve times on lecture tours that have took him to six continents. In spite of such a vigorous
schedule, Srila Prabhupada continued to write prolifically. His writings constitute a veritable
library of Vedic philosophy, religion, literature and culture.

THE spiritual master is receiving benediction from the ocean of mercy. Just as a cloud pours water on a forest fire
to extinguish it, so the spiritual master delivers the materially afflicted world by extinguishing the blazing fire of
material existence. I offer my respectful obeisances unto the lotus feet of such a spiritual master, who is an ocean
of auspicious qualities.

CHANTING the holy name, dancing in ecstasy, singing, and playing musical instruments, the spiritual master is
always gladdened by the saṅkīrtana movement of Lord Caitanya Mahāprabhu. Because he is relishing the mellows
of pure devotion within his mind, sometimes his hair stands on end, he feels quivering in his body, and tears flow
from his eyes like waves. I offer my respectful obeisances unto the lotus feet of such a spiritual master

villages.

I’m struggling due to a lack of intense effort even though you have wonderfully guided Bhakti

merciful Srila Prabhupada to bless me so that I can sincerely conduct sadhna & engage in the
mission of spreading Krishna consciousness as per your desire. Because Vaishnavas are my

Dear Srila Prabhupad,

All glories to you! Please accept my humble obeisances.

Even though I was born in a Brahmin family, I had no inclination toward the lotus feet of
Krishna. I never questioned my existence and my relationship with the supreme lord and
preferred living in ignorance for the most part of my life. After coming in contact with the
Kanahaiya Desh devotees, and being shown the direction towards Krishna consciousness, I
realised the real purpose of my existence and a sense of urgency to follow the path of devotion.
I felt reborn. If it was not for your instructions, I would still be wandering in this world like a
rudderless ship. Srila Prabhupad, you are patit pavana in the real sense, that is why you have
given shelter to gravely fallen souls like me.

Your divine grace, I still have materialistic tendencies and am not able to fend off the desire
for sense gratification completely. I need your mercy to pull me out of the dungeon that is this
degrading material world. This fallen soul is looking at your lotus feet, begging for your mercy
and transformation in life.

I will never be able to repay your debt.

Your fallen servant,

Abhiram Das

Namavatara Krsna Das.

Dear Srila Prabhupada, I am offering my humble and respectful obeisances at your lotus feet.
Your Divine Grace demonstrated to the whole world that the solution to all problems in this
material world is simply to become Krsna Consciousness and execute the unalloyed devotional
Page 12
service unto the Supreme Personality of Godhead Sri Krsna. Your Divine Grace graciously
gifted to the whole humanity the precious jewel which your books. Your Divine Grace books
are the law books for the next 10000 years, anyone who sincerely wish to solve the life's real
problem and to seek the absolute truth, can be easily attained simply by reading it. Your Divine
Grace books are your transcendental ecstasy. We are so unfortunate that we are still hankering
for flickering happiness of this material world and failing to taste the nectarian instructions
available in your books.

Dear Srila Prabhupada we are very much obliged and thankful to Your Divine Grace and to
your sincere disciples who recorded and preserved all your lectures, room conversation,
Morning Japa Walk Conversation etc for us. We are eternally indebted for Your Divine Grace
sacrifice to engage the entire humanity in to the lord service.

Dear Srila Prabhupada from the Sri Isopanisad invocation prayer

oṁ pūrṇam adaḥ pūrṇam idaṁ

pūrṇāt pūrṇam udacyate
pūrṇasya pūrṇam ādāya
pūrṇam evāvaśiṣyate

"The Personality of Godhead is perfect and complete, and because He is completely perfect,
all emanations from Him, such as this phenomenal world, are perfectly equipped as complete
wholes. Whatever is produced of the Complete Whole is also complete in itself. Because He
is the Complete Whole, even though so many complete units emanate from Him, He remains
the complete balance."

Similarly your books are perfect and complete, because you received the knowledge from the
perfect disciplic succession. I am trying to understand and relate the meaning of the above
verse simply by understanding how your books are complete because its
composed/translated by a pure devotee of the lord (Your Divine Grace) and it is complete
forever. It never going to be diminished or going to be imperfect. It remains complete and
perfect for ever. The Lord and the devotee of the lord both remains perfect and complete
always. The Devotee of the lord is complete because he is always connected with the Lord.

Dear Srila Prabhupada, On this auspicious day of your appearance we once again seriously
committing ourselves to engage in your service. Also, we admit that still we are in the
conditioned state, however we have a hope to progress in devotional service by your causeless
mercy. We try our fullest capacity to spread Krsna consciousness to others which we received
causelessly from your Divine Grace through your Sincere disciples.

Your Humble Servant

Namavatara Krsna Das.

I offer my respectful obeisances to the glorious Acharya- His Divine Grace A.C Bhaktivedanta
Swami Srila Prabhupada who travelled across the world to spread the message of Sri Caitanya
Mahaprabhu. As mentioned by Lord Krishna in the Bhagavad Gita, Whatever action a great
man performs, common men follow. And whatever standards he sets by exemplary acts,
all the world pursues, I have been inspired by your actions, your qualities and in particular
your transcendental books. Srila Prabhupada you once mentioned, The Kṛṣṇa
consciousness movement is spreading now all over the world, and sometimes I think
that even though I am crippled in many ways, if one of my disciples becomes as strong
as Dhruva Mahārāja, then he will be able to carry me with him to Vaikuṇṭhaloka, I was
dumbfounded by your humility and was humbled at the same time. You are the most merciful
and magnanimous personality. To this day sadhus in India will not consider travelling outside
Page 14
its borders thinking it to be dangerous for their spiritual life. You were “Abhaya Carana”. You
were unafraid of the decadence of the West. You did not care for the criticism of your god-
brothers. Your only concern was to fulfill the desires of the previous Acharyas, deliver the fallen
souls throughout the world, and bring them to their home in Mayapur Dhama, at the Lotus feet
of Sri Caitanya Mahaprabhu and Lord Nityananda. I know I will never be able to glorify you at
the fullest but this is my humble glorification at your lotus feet.

All glories to Srila Prabhupada, the divine personality who built a house in which the whole
world can live.

Srila Prabhupad you had full faith and conviction on your guru maharaj words. To fulfil
his instructions you took all the difficulties to travel from Sri Dham Vrindavan to deliver
the fallen souls of this age. Your love to your Guru maharaj is seen in your lectures,
books and discussions when you says “My Guru maharaj used to say”

few sayings are -

1-In future be very cautious and abide by the orders of Krishna. If you abide by the orders of
Krishna, He can give you thing that you may need. Be cheerful and chant Hare Krishna without
any lamentation. As I have told you several times that my Guru maharaj used to say that this
world is not a fit place for gentleman. (Letter, 28 March 1967, San Francisco)

2-So therefore knowledge has to be gathered by aural reception, not by the eyes. My Guru
Mahārāja used to say that, "Do not try to see a saintly person. You try to hear a saintly person."
If you see a long beard and very strong man, he is a great sādhu. (Śrīmad-Bhāgavatam
Lecture, 23 April 1972, Tokyo)

3-May Krsna bless you for your growing enterprise to broadcast this Movement. This kind of
transcendental enthusiasm is the basic impetus for Krsna Consciousness. My Guru Maharaja
used to say, "One who has got life—he can preach." (Letter, 6 January 1971, Calcutta)

Page 15
4-My Guru Mahārāja used to say that when we shall see that the high-court judges are
devotees of Kṛṣṇa, then our preaching will be somewhat forward. So that is the aim of Kṛṣṇa
consciousness movement, that everyone, at least those who are ruling, those who are on the
executive function, they must be all mahā-bhāgavata. Under them everything should be ruled.
Then people will be happy. Because they will never do anything unjustly. (Śrīmad-
Bhāgavatam Lecture, 29 December 1973, Los Angeles)

Dear Srila Prabhupad because you had strong faith on your Gurus words. Today All
your followers are getting inspiration and strength to follow the instructions of their
spiritual master. It is by your empowerment. and other spiritual organisations accepts
that the Guru Bhakti in your followers is unique and not seen to that level in other
institutes . Jai Srila Prabhupad.

Srila Prabhupad you are a true Aacharya. You preached to the world what you followed
in your conduct. You alone distributed the magazines travelled from Vrindavan to delhi.
No place to stay no money to pay to the printing press, still you wants to fulfil the
instructions your Guru Maharaj.

Because of your dedication to follow the order of your spiritual master your followers
got empowerment and today all are dedicatedly trying to distribute your books
worldwide. Jai Srila Prabhupad.

Your few sweet conversations with your followers on book distribution.

1-I am very glad to learn that you are trying to distribute our books. Please continue with this
program as it is so very important. Especially try to place our books in the schools and libraries.
Our literatures are for the intelligent class also. (Letter, 21 January 1971, Prayag Raj)

2-Follow the line laid down by Prahlada Maharaja and try to take every one back to home,
back to godhead. And this is by distributing our literature. I am so much pleased upon each
and every one of you for helping me this way to push on this great movement. (Letter, 3
December 1972, Ahmedabad)

3-Our literatures are unique in the world and we want to introduce our philosophy in learned
circles, so your report of library distribution is good news for me. Keep trying to place my books
in auspicious places such as libraries, universities, clubs, etc. and someday the world will
realize and appreciate th, no money ese transcendental literatures. (Letter, 18 December
1970, Surat)

Srila Prabhupad like you emphasized on distributing the books. You never wanted any
program to be conducted without distribution of Krishna Prasad. When you was alone
in America you prepared bhoga and distributed to the people started coming to you.
You even cleaned their plates.

Today all over the world your followers are conducting all the programs with distribution
of Krishna Prasad . it is your empowerment.

Page 16
Few of sweet instructions from your divine grace.

1-Any food prepared by the injunctions of the scripture and offered to the Supreme
Personality of Godhead can be taken even if prepared long, long ago, because such food is
transcendental. Therefore to make food antiseptic, eatable and palatable for all persons, one
should offer food to the Supreme Personality of Godhead. (Bhagavad-gītā 17.10)

2-As long as one is situated in duality, on the sensual platform, gross or subtle, realization of
the original Personality of Godhead is impossible. Sevonmukhe hi jihvādau svayam eva
sphuraty adaḥ: but when one engages his senses in the service of the Lord—specifically,
when one engages the tongue in chanting the Hare Kṛṣṇa mantra and tasting only Kṛṣṇa
prasāda with a spirit of service—the Supreme Personality of Godhead is revealed. (Śrīmad-
Bhāgavatam 6.4.26)

Srila Prabhupad in the age of 69 you travelled from India to preach the message of Lord
Chaitanya. If you would have not left Sri Dham Vrindavana and travelled all over the
globe. What would be the condition of many millions of your faithful followers.

How you could do this in the very old age? We can understand from your message in

1-That is first qualification, enthusiastic. Dullness will not help you. You must be very
enthusiastic. My Guru Mahārāja used to say a person can become a preacher if he has got
life. A dead man cannot become a preacher. So you must be very enthusiastic that "I shall
preach the glories of the Lord to my best capacity." It is not that one has to become very
learned scholar to become a preacher. Simply it requires enthusiasm. (Nectar of Devotion
Lecture, 20 October 1972, Vrndavana)

2-Simply introduce our Krsna Consciousness program anywhere and everywhere, without any
compromise or deviation from the highest standard of devotional practice, as chalked out for
us by our great predecessors. If you yourself remain always pure, then your preaching will
have effect. As soon as there is little impurity, the whole thing will deteriorate and go to
hell. (Letter, 29 December 1972, Los Angeles)

3-The atheist will have to suffer. They'll have to meet God in the form of death in so many
ways. So by suffering, suffering, suffering, suffering, suffering, when a day will come that he'll
understand God, at that time, preaching to him is better. So you do not expect that our
preaching will be appeal to everyone. It will be useful for the devotees, for the innocent. Not
for the atheist. (Sri Isopaniṣad Lecture, 30 April 1970, Los Angeles)

Srila Prabhupad you wanted the leaders of India to practice Krishna consciousness and to
introduce in government offices. You wrote to Mahatma Gandhi, Indira Gandhi. Unfortunately
the message was not taken seriously.

Page 17
Srila Prabhupad you are dear devotee of Lord Sri Krishna. Today by lords mercy Indian top
leaders are appreciating and recognizing your contribution and compassion to whole mankind.
Now we are seeing time to time Indian president and prime minister are appreciating your
mission and they glorifies you.

Srila Prabhupad Because of true compassion you wanted to preach the message of their
lordships for saving all the fallen souls. Today

By mercy of your empowered disciples we are trying to follow your instructions. Please be
merciful so all the anarthas of heart may get washed away and we may realize your mercy.

Srila Prabhupad I do not have any qualification of how to glorify your divine grace. There are
many emotions to express the gratitude what you have given me in the life. Please forgive me
and always keep me in the shelter of your divine lotus feets.

a little that I have read have impacted me positively by your mercy.

I feel Fortunate for having got an opportunity to write this offering on your divine 126th
appearance day. Thank you Srila Prabhupada for your mercy, when there is no other HOPE
in this age of KALI yuga to understand the transcendental knowledge on how one can go back
to Godhead you gave us the mercy by giving three valuable, precious gifts in the form of divine
books, divine lectures through your vani, Transcendental Harinaam and touchstone like
devotees to be in association.

Page 18
Srila Prabhupada , I am the most insignificant soul, My life in this living did not start when I was
born, but when your books and teachings came in to my life. That was my real birth!

I did not learn anything from my material education, But from when I started to hear and read
your transcendental teachings. That is my real knowledge.

That I am able to write few sentences today is only after learning very little from your amazing
transcendental books. I really don’t know how to Thank you for the precious gift of Krishna
Consciousness that you have given to me and to the world.

You have given so much transcendental instructions but I am struggling to put a lot of your
teachings in my personal life. I am still in deep dark ignorance and I need to hold on to the
rope you have thrown and climb up leaving behind all my useless sense gratification. I am
willing to change for your pleasure. I will continue to fight with my internal enemies to improve
in my devotional path. Your mercy is there to make my effort complete. I just need to step up
to grab it.

Thank you Srila Prabhupada for making my life. I will try my best to follow your teachings, still
I am far away but I will put my continuous effort to work to become a sincere follower of your
teachings. My only desire is to be in the association of your sincere followers and also give me
the intelligence to whole heartedly to accept that association as my great hope of deliverance.

Please accept our humble obeisance unto your divine lotus feet. All glories to Srilaprabhupada.

Thank you for giving us shelter under your lotus feet

I am actually a dump person spiritually, because of your mercy, you gave me the little capability
to speak and convince few people to take up the process that you have given us.

I am actually a lame person spiritually. My life was without an orientation. I was living like a
dog or cat without any purpose of life. It is you who are directing my life through your amazing
books and enlightening lectures. Otherwise what hope do I have got to cross over this
mountain of material existence being spiritually lame; it’s absolutely insurmountable. By your
mercy, I am able to walk; I have confidence that I will be able to cross the mountain by your
mercy.

Srila Prabhupada, your conviction in the words of your spiritual master; your strong faith in the
teachings of Bhagavad Gita, Bhagavatam and the holy name of Krishna are all obviously
revealed in your lectures and teachings. You are my favourite personality of my life. I am simply
trying to become a devotee. And you wanted all your followers to become like you or even
more than you. You kick away our doubts and illusion in the coarse by asking “what is the
difficulty?”

Srila Prabhupada, I wish to take this opportunity to thank you for the amazing books you have
given us taking so much of hardship in the coarse of writting them, for your thunderbolt like
striking lectures which destroys all our ignorance, for the amazing and practical guidance you
have given through letters, morning walks, conversations etc for all fallen people like me could
also gain great hope in our spiritual journey and for demonstrating by your own personal
example to the whole world how a devotee should always be living remembering and serving
for the pleasure of guru and Krishna.

Srila Prabhupada you have spread the Krishna consciousness all over the world, by your
causeless mercy we also enjoying the taste of Krishna bhakthi,

Thank you for giving us shelter under your lotus feet

Page 20
Acharya Srila Prabhupada, now I am reading Prabhupada lilamirta from that I am getting so
many lessons and came to know your marvellous journey in Krishna bhakthi. Some of the
points as follows,

1. Your divine Grace you take your Guru Maharaja instruction as a life & soul and preached
the Krishna Consciousness all over the western countries.

2. Translated divine scriptures like Bhagavat Gita, Srimad Bhagvatam & Caitanya Caritamirta
and written so many other books related to scriptures for our easy understanding,

3. As you instructed books are the basis and stressed important of book distribution & Book
distribution is the foundation of ISKCON movement.

4. You have tirelessly travelled around the world and established 108 temples and make more
than 10,000/- disciplese3.

5. You are the ocean of mercy, without any consideration allowing to chant everybody to Hare
Krishna Maha Mantra

6. You have taken so much pain to make the hippies to happies.

7. You have carried Krishna in your heart and where ever you are going you made that place
as Goloka Vrindavan.

Please be merciful and always engage me in your mission whatever state I should be always
in Krishna Conscious & follow your foot step.

Thank you once again for everything.

We always begging for your mercy & guidance

Please accept our prostrated obeisance’s in the dust of your lotus feet.

With great pleasure we again take the opportunity to write in praise of you for your vyasa –

us the proper knowledge and sincerity so that we may properly praise your pure devotee.
You have given us the most precious gift, pure devotional service to the holy name of the lord.

Srila‐Prabhupada your presence is always keenly felt by us in everything that we do that you
have given to us. In your lectures and Kirtans. In your books and instructions, in the morning
& evening program, in prasada.

On vyasa‐Puja day, we are supposed to make on offering to the acarya. But considering my
own position, I am again begging from you, Srila prabhupada please force me to engage whole
heartedly in your service. I am ashamed to admit that without such pressure I will not do so. I
am such a rascal, weak hearted.

Prabhupada on His 126th Vyasa Puja:

Dear Srila Prabhupada,

Please accept my humble obeisances at your lotus feet on this auspicious day of Vyasa Puja.
You are our eternal well- wisher and had made the impossible to possible.

You built a home (ISKCON) where we all can live with real peace and happiness. I am very
fortunate to be a part of your family (ISKCON). You are the Jagad-Guru.

Without you and your lectures, I would be floating in the ocean of miseries and be engaged in
gratifying my senses. You are the lifeline by which I can connect to Krishna.

Because of your mercy I am able to chant the holy name of Hari, read your transcendental and
transforming books and I can realize the real knowledge that this human form of life is very
rare, and we should utilize it to Go Back To Godhead.

I am getting inspired by your lectures and those words remind me to practice Krishna
Consciousness at any circumstance and there is no other way to come out of the circle of birth
and death. Your dedication to spread Krishna Consciousness and your faithfulness to Krishna
is admirable.

Please keep your mercy on me to practice Krishna Consciousness in every situation of my life.
I wish to please you by following your instructions to preach the message of Krishna
Consciousness.

Thank You for everything.

All glories to you Srila Prabhupada

All glories to Sri Guru and Sri Gauranga,

Another year has passed and I am feeling gratitude that again I can have a moment
remembering you, and rest of the parampara who have mercifully given their instructions for
path to Krishna and with Krishna. And especially you, because of you and your descipls are
here with us, showing that path and being there for us with your guidance and example.

An year has passed quickly, and I did not advance. I would like to write a very nice ofering to
you. The nicest one! And this is already a symptom of being unqualifed to properly glorify you
from my heart.

‘Even if you are considered to be the most sinful of all sinners, when you are situated in the
boat of transcendental knowledge you will be able to cross over the ocean of miseries.” (Bg
4.36)

“Once devotees had a program in Palais Theater in Melbourne. There were a lot of philosopher
hippie types there, and Srila Prabhupada was sitting on his vyasasana.

He gave a lecture, and the acoustics unfortunately were not that good. It was reverberating
around the room and it was hard to catch what your divin grace were saying, but there were a
lot of people there. Anyway, at one particular point somebody asked a question:

“There are so many yogis and swamis that have come and this and that. What can you do?”
Either “what can you do,”

Inferring what that others can’t do or what can you do. Your Divin Grace after a moment
answered:

“I can save you from death!”

Page 25
Then there was complete silence, and everyone knew that your divin grace really meant
it.(Gopinath Acharya das, Following Srila Prabhupada – A Chronological Series; Author:
Yadubara Dasa).

Yes, when I review every year, I can see it is really like that. I am struggling to swim to save
my spiritual life. But actually real help I can feel only in your books, your faithfull followers
association or in your instructions which is coming through your descipls and followers.

May I as your lowly, unqualifed, fallen servant, wish you a very happy Vyasa-puja. You and
your descipls, followers are truly an inspiration in this world of darkness and degradation,
lighting the way with your infnite wisdom and knowledge. You are very much loved by all who
know you.again begging for your cause less mercy so that atleast i can try to follow the
instructions of Sri Guru ,Sadhu and Shastra and remain in your glorious movement and try to
serve you In some way's although I'm not eligible or have any qualifications to do so fully
depending on yours and your faithfull followers mercy.as Srila Narottama Das Thakur has
written in his song

O Vaisnava Goswami, please be merciful to me now. There is no one except you who
can purify the fallen souls.

Dear Śrīla Prabhupāda,

Please accept my prostrated Obeisances at your lotus feet

All Glories to Your Divine Grace- Founder Acharya of ISKCON

All Glories to your transcendental books and all glories to Hari Naam Sankirtana, supreme
matchless gift to the entire world.

By the mercy of Guru & Gauranga, it is my greatest fortune to get an opportunity to attempt
to glorify your divine grace on your Vyas Puja Mahotsava despite of my all disqualification.
Dear Prabhupad we are borrowing even words from your teachings only to glorify your divine
grace.

You have beautifully quoted a verse from Hari bhakti Suhodaya in SB (2.9.39) purport as:

akṣṇoḥ phalaṁ tvādṛśa-darśanaṁ hi

tanoḥ phalaṁ tvādṛśa-gātra-saṅgaḥ
jihvā-phalaṁ tvādṛśa-kīrtanaṁ hi
sudurlabhā bhāgavatā hi loke
"O devotee of the Lord, the purpose of the visual sense is fulfilled simply by seeing you, and
to touch your body is the fulfillment of bodily touch. The tongue is meant for glorifying your
qualities because in this world a pure devotee of the Lord is very difficult to find.”

Srila Prabhpad, although we ae not at all qualified to glorify your compassion, but the more we
read your books, more we hear your vanis, more we associates with your disciples and faithful
followers & hear from them, then actually we get a glimpse of drop of realization of your
causeless oceanic compassion for the entire humanity and especially upon Krishna conscious
practitioners. We believe that whatever is needed for a sincere soul to go back to godhead and
embrace the shuddha bhakti under guidance of bonafide spiritual master, absolutely you have
given everything. Your presence in our life becoming more prominent day by day.

Recently I was reading in lilamritam about your answer to question asked to you regarding
your previous life, and you answered “So far I am concerned, I cannot say what I was in my
previous life, but one great astrologer calculated that I was previously a physician and my life
was sinless. Besides that, to corroborate the statement of Bhagavad-gita “sucinam srimatam
gehe yogabhrasta ’bhijayate,” which means an unfinished yogi takes birth in rich family or born
of a suci or pious father. By the grace of Krishna I got these two opportunities in the present
life to be born of a pious father and brought up in one of the richest, aristocratic families of
Calcutta (Kasinatha Mullik). The Radha Krishna Deity in this family called me to meet Him, and
therefore last time when I was in Calcutta, I stayed in that temple along with my American
disciples. Although I had immense opportunities to indulge in the four principles of sinful life
because I was connected with a very aristocratic family, Krishna always saved me, and

Page 27
throughout my whole life I do not know what is illicit sex, intoxication, meat-eating or
gambling. So far my present life is concerned, I do not remember any part of my life
when I was forgetful of Krishna.” (SP lilamritam chapter 31)

We are extremely fortunate to be connected in some way to such Mahabagvata, who always
remember Krishna and never forget Krishna. This aspect we often experience in your unique
Bhaktivedanta Purport, almost every purport of BG, SB, CC and other books, are filled with
your ecstatic love for Sri Krishna.

Srila Prabhupad, you have mercifully revealed why a pure devotee’s voice and sound
vibration are so potent.

In SB 4th canto, Prithu maharaja is praying;

sa uttamaśloka mahan-mukha-cyuto
bhavat-padāmbhoja-sudhā kaṇānilaḥ
smṛtiṁ punar vismṛta-tattva-vartmanāṁ
kuyogināṁ no vitaraty alaṁ varaiḥ
“My dear Lord, You are glorified by the selected verses uttered by great personalities. Such
glorification of Your lotus feet is just like saffron particles. When the transcendental vibration
from the mouths of great devotees carries the aroma of the saffron dust of Your lotus
feet, the forgetful living entity gradually remembers his eternal relationship with You.
Devotees thus gradually come to the right conclusion about the value of life. My dear
Lord, I therefore do not need any other benediction but the opportunity to hear from the
mouth of Your pure devotee.”

Purport

“… A pure devotee always engages in the service of the Lord, taking shelter of His lotus feet,
and therefore he has a direct connection with the saffron mercy-particles that are strewn over
the lotus feet of the Lord. Although when a pure devotee speaks the articulation of his voice
may resemble the sound of this material sky, the voice is spiritually very powerful because it
touches the particles of saffron dust on the lotus feet of the Lord. As soon as a sleeping living
entity hears the powerful voice emanating from the mouth of a pure devotee, he immediately
remembers his eternal relationship with the Lord, although up until that moment he had
forgotten everything.” (SB 4.2025)

Always begging for your causeless mercy to strive to hear your transcendental divine
instructions and ambrosial voice. You have brought this sublime transcendental sound from
the spiritual world. (Golokera premadhana….)

By your causeless mercy, I would like to offer at your lotus feet the completion of one time
reading of Chaitanya Charitamrita. We are completely indebted to you for receiving mercy of
our beloved guru maharaj, association of Vaishnava, studying Bhagvayam almost every day
with devotees (nityam bhagvat sevaya) and opportunities to serve in congregation, this all
could be possible because of your ISKCON.
Page 28
Begging for your causeless mercy to understand the real meaning of your purport to develop
strong desire to serve the holy name, Hari, Guru and all the vasihnavas who are trying to
please you.

Srila Prabhupada, our savior, on this auspicious day praying at your lotus feet , kindly bless us
so that we are always situated at your lotus feet and absorbed in your divine unrevised
teachings and instructions and instruction of all Vaishnava who are trying to please you.

Depending on your Mercy,

Most respected Dear Srila Prabhupad ,

Please Accept my Humble Obeisances at your lotus feet

On the occasion of your holy 126th vyas puja, although I don’t have any qualification to glorify
a pure devotee of the supreme personality of godhead shri Krishna ,still for my own purification
with your and your followers `mercy I would like to speak a few words in your glories. I consider
myself to be very fortunate for being a part of your divine mission. I have noticed my friends in
school discussing about many nonsense topics such as movies, songs etc. hearing their
conversations i feel more indebted to you ,because of your divine grace i have many sensible
topics to talk about. Your whole life is filled of teachings ,the way you took your gurumaharaj’s
instructions seriously, the faith which you had on your gurumaharaj and chaitanya mahaprabhu
s vani “prithvite ache yata nagaradi gram sarvatra prachar haibe mora naam” which means
that “in every town and village my name will be preached.’ only with 40 rupees you travelled
to America, in the jaladuta you suffered 2 heart attacks and yet you had strong faith on lord
Krishna and your gurumaharaj. You are such a pure devotee of lord that lord himself gave you
his darshan. Your personality is so impressive that a person who once meets you remembers
that meeting whole life. We don’t have words to thank you for everything you gave us. Please

Dear Srila Prabhupad,

All the glories to you!!! Please accept my humble obeisances onto your lotus feet, which are
the source of all auspiciousness and unlimited mercy.

Heartfelt gratitude for throwing the rope of mercy and hope, in the form of Krishna
consciousness, in this abominable and dark well that is this material world. On this day I pray
to you to give me inspiration and an honest desire to follow your instructions thoroughly. Srila
Prabhupad, I am still in deep, dark ignorance even after receiving countless instructions from
you and your faithful disciples because of deep-rooted vices and sins that I have accumulated
over many lifetimes. But I have complete faith in your causeless mercy and compassion which
will not let me fall down. Please kindly bless me so I can overcome my anarthas, chant my
rounds better, serve my lordships with all my heart and soul, read and follow your
transcendental instructions in the form of your books and most importantly, always be engaged
in the service of devotees.

Srila Prabhupad, on your appearance day, I pray to Krishna that the Krishna conscious
movement that you have initiated, grows by leaps and bounds and it transforms and rescues
all the sinful souls like me who are rotting in this material world in the hope of sense gratification
and illusive temporary pleasures.

Srila Prabhupad, we will be eternally grateful to you for giving us the GPS to eternal happiness

service of your lotus feet.

Dear Respected Srila Prabhupada,

Please accept my respectful obeisance’s.

All glories to you !!

Its our great fortune that we are getting an opportunity to glorify an extremely special devotee
of lord Krishna - Jagad Guru Srila Prabhupada. you are extremely compassionate, merciful,
and visionary.

Most Compassionate – Jagad guru Srila Prabhupada:

Question: Srila Prabhupada was a pure devotee and a strong guru, yet we see that he
accepted both strong and weak disciples. Was that a kind of lila?

Answer by Romapada Swami: Srila Bhaktisiddhanta Saraswati Thakur also had both weak
and strong disciples. Both he and Srila Prabhupada were very compassionate and wanted to
extend the mercy of Lord Caitanya to whoever was willing to take it. Anyone who came forward
to give up their sinful life and take up a life of devotion to Krishna, by following the four
regulative principles and chanting Hare Krishna, anyone who demonstrated their sincerity in
this way for a fixed period of time – both Srila Prabhupada and his guru maharaja accepted
them as disciples. Those disciples who continued to strictly and faithfully adhere to instructions
remained strong, but those who wavered due to some weakness of heart were not so strong,
and gradually faded in their spiritual standing.

Thus, it was their compassion that compelled them to give others this chance to improve
themselves, including by offering harinama diksa.

All merciful Srila Prabhupada:

Chanting The Holy Name In the Age Of Kali:

In this age of Kali there is one most beneficial, simple method by which we can attain the
highest perfection of spiritual realization to realize our eternal loving relationship with Supreme
Personality of Godhead, Sri Krishna. And that method is to chant the holy names. Srila
Prabhupada when inspired the small children, the old, old, people on the verge of death. Both
ladies and gentle man, men and women, rich and poor, Asian, African, American, European.
There was no discrimination. Prabhupada showed compassion to the insignificant. Srila
Prabhupada showed compassion even to the most insignificant living entity. Because he had
the faith. Simple chant the holy names, clean your heart and feel the real joy of life. So let us
today on this glorious occasion of the appearance of Srila Prabhupada take his mercy to our
heart by simply accepting as a priority in our life the chanting of the names of the God and try

Page 31
to share that great fortune with other. “Hare Krishna Hare Krishna, Krishna Krishna, Hare
Hare/Hare Rama Hare Rama, Rama Rama, Hare Hare.” Thank you very much.

Visionary Srila Prabhupada:

we can see your mission of spreading Holy name is continuously getting spread to all souls.
Similarly few years ago it was me Srila Prabhupada, though it is my fortune but it is your
causeless mercy that your bestow the supreme fortune on undeserved soul like me.

Although your gifts to the world are unlimited and inconceivable—because you distributed the
most precious object of the spiritual world, love for Krishna- there are several contributions you
made that are particularly significant, and we can break them down into three main categories:

• Society where everyone can stay- ISKCON is the perfect manifestation of your mercy Srila
Prabhupada. Due to the extremely difficult and sinful nature of the age in which we live, the
age of Kali, it is practically impossible to practice Krishna Consciousness. Srila Prabhupada
you gave ISKCON- a family and Holy name which is like a ship that is helping to pass through
the ocean of material nature, where there is every opportunity to slip from the path of
spirituality.

• Books- You went to the West and translated the most important of the Vedic texts, and
presented them with his unique Bhaktivedanta purports for the ultimate benefit of the world at
large.
You presented this books in such a systematic and sublime way that while a scholar will
appreciate them on one particular level, a simple child can enter into their mysteries as well.
Indeed your books are the most important aspect of your gift to humanity. You had boldly
declared that these books will be the spiritual law books for this world for the next ten thousand
years.

Devotees- Touchstone is recognized by its quality to transform iron into gold, similarly
Prabhupada you have transformed materialistic people into devotees. In general people would
like to see the miracles- more than this what could be the miracles-transforming materialistic
people into devotees.

When we look closely at your disciples Srila Prabhupada, it becomes quite obvious that most
of them are very special personalities, with extraordinary spiritual qualities. Anyone- no need
to have spiritual vision-can recognize that the real greatness of you Srila Prabhupada was your
ability to elevate the most fallen souls to the highest spiritual platform. On this very auspicious
and special occasion, I can only hope and wish to become instrument by your causeless mercy
in spreading your mission Srila Prabhupada.

Thank you so much Srila Prabhupada.

Merciful souls like you, being eternal associate of Lord Krishna decend to this mortal world the
abode of miseries, just to deliver fallen souls like me. Your classes and books are only hope
for us to understand about the supreme persnality of Godhead. Because of your mercy we
received Krishna, in his different forms especially in the form of Srimad Bhagwaton. You have
written so many books to guide us in the profound knowledge of Bhagavad Gita, Srimad
Bhagvatam, Chaitanya Charitamarita and many more books. You are the ocean of mercy,
teaching us how to perform devotional service, how to do kirtan and experience the bliss of
chanting the lords name. You make us understand the value of prasadam, by your mercy we
are able to enjoy the prasadam which is offered to Krishna as Bhoga. You have followed your
guru's order very sincerly and thus you are all glories preaching to the western countries
Harinam Sankirtan is very hard to spread but you were so determind to spread Harinam and
achieve your spiritual masters goal. You made 108 temples all around the world so that we
can connect with the lord in the form of dieties. Your preaching spirit is unquenchable. Whether
you physically walk on this earth or not, you are active in expanding the misson of lord
chaitanya On the auspicious day, of your 126th Vyas puja. I offer my prayers at your lotus feet.

Our respectful obeisances are unto you, O spiritual master, servant of Bhaktisiddhanta
Saraswati Goswami. You are kindly preaching the message of Lord Chaitanyadeva and
delivering the Western countries, which are filled with impersonalism and voidism.

Dear Prabupada,

All glories to you,

Please accept my humble obeisances unto the dust of your divine lotus feet.

On this most auspicious day of your appearance, I bow down at your feet again and again and
thank you for the unprecedented shelter you have given us. Without the shelter of your
compassion, and your sheltering words of wisdom, we would’ve become the most impious and
misdirected the world had ever seen.

Oh prabhupad, you are the most merciful personality, you have done a lot for us which cannot
be described by words. Even in your old age when people usually rest, you travelled aboard a
cargo ship suffering 2 heart attacks, you had no money when you left for America. But in spite
of all the difficulties you faced, you always had Krishna with you, and under his divine shelter
you spread Krishna Consciousness to the whole world.

Dear prabhupad

I bow down at your lotus feet millions of time again & again to free me from the clutches of my
evil mind.

There are so many wonderful devotees of Krishna who are doing wonderful service for Krishna
as per your instructions. Please bestow your mercy upon me so that I may also do at least
something for Krishna. My heart is filled with lust, greed, pride, anger, envy, illusion and false
ego.

Dear Srila Prabhupada, I am eternally grateful to you for all you have given to me. I am not
qualified enough to express it in proper words. Or I think there are not enough words which
can ever glorify you.

Page 34
Today the whole world especially the devotees are celebrating your Vyasa Puja. On this most
auspicious day, I just want to say “Thank You” for everything. And I beg you to continue guiding
me forever.

Hare Krishna! Srila Prabhu pad ki Jai!

I would like to wish you a happy birthday and thank you for how you’ve changed our life, and
the lives of hundreds of thousands of other devotees around the world. You founded the most
beautiful organisation in the world and have to cure, and continue to cure, thousands of people
of materialistic attachment and ignorance. You have given us such a wonderful family which
is always watching out for us; without having any contacts in kahnaiya desh, we discovered a
large family living there who are more caring than our own extended family.

You truly are one of the greatest blessings Lord Krishna have given to this world.

Jai Gurudev! Jai Srila Prabhu Pad!

Thank you
